In other news, I may have accidentally joined pof. What have I done??
    Oooh, that's brave!

I should do something similar, or in fact should have done years ago. People say things like "you must put lots of photos on your profile." Finding one photo of me is a struggle, never mind lots! I also have a standing offer to visit my cousin in her new home, and she has told me she will write me an online dating profile

    My boiler works.

He gave me the post mortem results and, on his laptop, showed me the list of parts for my boiler.

Pages and pages of OBSOLETE entries including critical parts like gas burners.

In other news, nothing else has been done and I've gone nowhere - it's going to stop raining before I stick my nose out the front door.

Have had houmous and Ryvita for breakfast. :o
 Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway...

Melly - I didn't see any point in lying or trying to fudge it because it would have been obvious, so I said I hadn't used it in a long time, but I was happy to do anything I could to refresh it. I wouldn't mind but the stuff he asked about wasn't even on the job spec.

Ono and tea, I can recommend internet dating. Its how I met DH and the three boyfriends before him. Everyone I worked with was in a relationship and I'm not pretty enough to be picked up in bars.

Nor am I ... not that you'll find me in bars anyway, unless I've gone with someone.

    Afternoon my lovelies,

Hugs and squishes and handshakes to all.

Well had a massive anxiety attack at 5am this morning. Over something very stupid but I of course just think the worse. I stayed awake for a couple of hours and then woke again up at 9.30. Just got showered and dressed now.

Sorted out my repeat script and booked an appointment with the dr's for my hip. 5th Of jan  Oh well I managed this long with it another few weeks won't make much difference.

Code sorry that the interview did go as expected. But thats agencies for you.

Melly glad to see you are posting as I am sure like many others here I am very worried about you. wished you live near me. As you could have come and stayed with me for respite.

Husband has to shove his cockatiel in box later to take to the vets as he seems to be going bold lol!!! and he has not had a checkup even though he has had him since may. Umm that is going to be fun as my husband does not like it when he squawks.

Everyone take care as the weather seems to be not getting any better. So no body better get blown or swept away. Best stay in the fort wrapped in duvet with double choc oreos that happen to be on offer in tescos :rotfl:

    Yours

    Calley

    Broadband still down.
I am in Brum. Theoretically I am shopping. In practice I am hiding in a coffee shop using their wifi and trying to avoid going back into shops.
And to make it worse since they tarted the place up my downmarket bacon buttie shops seem to have vanished.
Bacon buttie or sushi - there's only ever one answer to that question.

Hope you are all keeping well, back off into wifiless land. I didn't realise how much I used tinternet till it vanished.

Meant to be going to relatives tomorrow but with this mornings rain the roads are looking iffy again.

Afternoon all! I am still reading, just very rushed (just for a change!)

WaS - amazing fab news about your research!!!!! Go girl!!!!!

Code - sorry to hear about interview, bloody agencies!

Fresh supplies are in the fort, and the squish cupboard is rattling, it wants to dispense hugs and squishes to all! Go in there and make it feel needed, please! :D

  • Eeeeeeeeeek! That is way too loud Melly!

Hello elsien! Have a bacon buttie for me!

Have a hug Calley, things can feel so much worse at night.

Hugs for you too, code. Not your fault that the agency didn't brief you better.

Yay for the boiler working, Ginger! try not to think about the cost of replacement parts, perhaps it might survive for a while.

The Good News-the inside of the oven is clean! WaSp steamed it and then I used a mix of a lot of cleaners that probably had no business being combined and it worked!

The Bad News-I thought I would wipe down the oven door, it is brown glass...no it isn't. I now see a patch of clear glass where I have scrubbed, the rest of the door is covered in glued on brown grease or burnt bits or something. I hate everything (apart from you lot and Christmas and WaSp. I love you lot, Christmas and WaSp).
