Hello SDW! I was wondering how you and your family were, I am so glad to hear that the mental health troubles are better! I take a Vitamin D tablet too, mainly because I hardly ever step outside. Congratulations on the house selling, that must be a huge weight off of your mind. Never apologise for not being here, you are always welcome no matter how long it has been!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I have been up and running since 5.15am, and tossing and turning before then. Possibly dehydration, but anyway...
I have wrapped a box that is to be used for a hamper gift. (Haven't wrapped it very well if you look closely, but never mind. It looks good at the moment). I have done some washing and unloaded the dishwasher. I have also wrapped 10 stocking gifts. (I will help WaSp's search tonight, WaS).
I have some urgent cards out that littlewing needs to write.
Got a parcel to put in the post.
Got a couple of 'abroad' cards to post off today too.
Gradually crossing stuff off my list. Or I would be if I could find the list.
I only came on the computer to get the address for the little girl so her card can go today.
Didn't get my snog but it sounds like tea will be getting the snogs covered for the thread. Good luck with the toads, tea!:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Hey everybody,
Sorry I haven't been around here for so long.
I'm kicking myself and feeling very sorry for myself.
Procrastination again.
I've had 18 days off and I'm due to start again tomorrow night.
I have nothing to show for it.
I haven't been anywhere or done much.
Laundry, some housework (cleaned bathroom and did vacuuming), changed the toilet seat, sorted out the plastic cat strips which keep falling off the garden wall, brought two dirty, dumped green bins out the front to be collected by the unwanted bins lorry and sorted some sewing out.
I got more done in the last couple of days than in the previous 10!
There are still projects all around the house I haven't tackled - woodwork, mirror frames and an old chair to be stripped, embroidery.
Last night, I sorted through some sewing. Measured, cut and pinned three pairs of jeans, stitched a bobble back onto a woolly hat, repositioned cuff buttons on a new blouse, and worked out where to stitch to repair an old bathmat.
The bobble and hat have been sitting there for weeks after the bobble came off in the wash.
It took ten minutes to stitch it back on.
I've got four sewing projects which I'm hoping to tackle today - I've had over a fortnight.
I'm waiting for the boiler guy after the boiler broke down yesterday morning. (Time slot 08:00 - 13:00)
I've still got an immersion heater so I've got running hot water but electricity's expensive when you're effectively boiling a giant kettle.
I tend to use electric fan heater around the house, taking them with me between rooms.
The boiler is so old, I fully expect the boiler guy to tell me it's irreparable.
What am I doing? Pootling about on the internet, talking to you guys.
There are films I could have seen, comedians I could have gone to see, concerts I could have been to, radio iPlayer shows to have listened to, places I could have gone to aaaaaaand nothing.
I've been nowhere, heard none of the shows before they were lost, missed the concerts and gigs and saw none of the places.
I'm seeing Ed Byrne tonight though.
It's nothing compared to what some of you are going through though, so I'll shut up now....:o:huh: Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -
Ginger yay!
Bobble sewing is useful
I cleaned yet er day
Today I am mainly walking like drunk.
Me and my bath chair are gonna attempt a shower in 50 -
Good luck, Melly! Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0

My mum does something similar every year. She has a rare neurological/genetic condition and she's used as a guinea pig for medical students at a big teaching hospital. They drive her and my dad there and back, she gets questioned while he gets plied with bacon sarnies and tea, then they drive them home. They both quite enjoy it
I have an absolute tonne of work to do but I am procrastinating like a mad thing. Am out this evening with lovely ex-colleague (and others!).0 -
Hey ginger - sounds like you did a lot to me. I consider time off where I did one thing a win.
Waves at SDW. Hello lady. Good luck with the house sale.
Melly - I love that hairstyle. It looks bit like a blonde version of the one in Tangled. But I suspect if you don't style it like that everyday it wouldn't look quite so good.
Cba today. Got that thing which I seem to be viewing as an irritation rather than something positive. I think I need an attitude adjustment. Where's John Cena when you need him?Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Thanks ginger I need help
I seriously am walking like I have been on the gin.
Upstairs started at 7.30am
Actually managed to wake me up not long after I took a sleeping tablet.
I am also painting my nails and stuff today with birch box stuff.0
