Sent you a PM Welly :)

    That Santa sounds awesome Tea!

Still working through WW's links there was a DIY memory game on one of them, I like the idea of doing one of those with family photos for MIL! :) Should be easy enough and I might even be able to find a deal for some free prints to make it MSE! :money:

Can I stay in the fort too please? DA dog isn't well today and I'm a big meanie who forced him to take a pill. I tried to give it to him in chicken but he just spat it out so I had to use the brutal way of forcing into his mouth and making him swallow. He got lots of hugs after but I just felt so bad that I just want to give him hugs all day. Instead I have to be at work like the horrible fur mummy that I am. Mr Codigopombo will be with him though - just hope he doesn't decide he likes him better. Plus, I hate Tuesdays.

In happy news, it's less than a week til pay day and the start of December, when I can officially start to watch Christmas movies :rotfl:

Your frames are lovely Birdie and that santa sounds amazing tea. Was it you who knitted wreaths last year?

This I like! :D Bring on the advent calendar :p

It was me with the wreaths, can't believe you remembered that! I'd totally forgotten I'd even posted pics on here lol. I made an Easter one too (with daffodils) and hung it over the fireplace.... it's still there! Never did get round to the summer and autumn ones I was planning.... maybe next year.

Ooh yay. An excuse to start the day with chocolate. Even the dog has one with dog treats in (mil, who wasn't keen on us getting a dog and now spoils him rotten bought it for him in September).

I remember them. They were really good. I can do scarves and blankets and that's about it.

Major motivational problems today - I even read an article about procrastination on linkedin to avoid doing any work. How pathetic is that??

I'm excited as my pretty dress should be arriving today! I've got a red petticoat and red shrug to go with it.

Just tried my dresses on at lunchtime and they don't fit! :(:(:( So much for going up a size, they're massive! The Gilda one is too big all over so I need to swap it for a smaller size and the wiggle dress fits great on the bottom half but is hanging off the top, I'd need Dolly Parton boobs to fill it! I can't go down a size in that one as it wouldn't fit over my bum and hips if I did so I need to find something else... annoyingly I got a freebie with the order because it went over £100 (my Mum paid and added a top for SIL to bump up the order to get me a free jumper) so doing returns/swaps is going to get messy I think! :( So frustrating when online shopping goes wrong!

Could you get an opinion on from a seamstress on whether the wiggle dress is alterable relatively cheaply?

I was thinking about hm xmas presents as my aunt often makes sponge cakes for people. I have never seen it in real life, but if you had a few people to make sponges for at the same time, an interesting thing would be to make a few different sponges and then slice them evenly and then put a couple of slices of each on a plate to rebuild into a varied sponge cake (with a bit of a ribbon around the side maybe). You could decorate each slice to show flavours within.
It isn't my idea - there is an online cake company that does this somewhere.

That's a shame Birdie. I've never tried the wiggle dresses as I'm a lumpy pear and worried they'll cling to my belly, but always found the others to be a good fit, except a little tight in the bosom. I am a fat pie though so there is that.

Tea - you read an article about procrastination in order to procrastinate? That's impressive.

I did work this morning but seem to have run out of steam. Now I want a hiding place and a nap.

tea, get on with your work. Don't make the task itself the end goal (as you know it will be criticised) find another goal that you can achieve as you are doing it (eg write a private list of what makes it difficult to carry out the task, and what bits you enjoy). Then you've got things to talk about when you are next asked for feedback etc. You don't have to do this but you are on our thread so you can be creative with your goals.
