I'm also planning to start reducing my opiate painkillers one this current pain and stress spike goes down. The Dr gave me free reign on how to use them as is best for me, so I'll start by cutting the evening dose in half. I dare not reduce my nueropathic painkillers though:AStarting again on my own this time!! - Defective flylady! :A0

Will be really interested to hear how you get on dragonette. I tried reducing my opiates recently but it's not going too well. I did cut down for a few weeks but it's crept up again pretty quickly.0

HBS - just wondering if you might have more luck with fewer slightly more carefully targeted applications? 40 in a month is a lot - I didn't manage that many when I lost my job as I was still being quite selective - and you might have more luck if you spend a bit more time on each to get them just right?
Apologies if you're doing that anyway.
I also found that if I applied for jobs with less responsibility or lower salary, they rarely got a response because HR assumed I wasn't going to stick around. One person told me a job would be "beneath" me, so it's other people's interpretations as well as what you've written - try not to let the lack of response knock your confidence too much.
Have you tried putting a couple of CVs up online? That can attract the recruitment agencies who might have more relevant vacancies. You need to take them down and resubmit every week even if you don't change them (I didn't know this) as recruiters often only look at recently posted ones. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I'm still waiting to hear back from two interviews I attended about 18 months ago - I'm assuming I didn't get the jobs!0

Please go very slowly with reducing opiates, Dragonette. If you start to get headaches or electric shocks down your face increase by a quarter of pill until it stops. I am so glad to hear that things are better, well done to all of you for sitting down and working it all out together. That is what makes for great relationships!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Ah thanks Elsien, that's great advice!
I think maybe I'm just so peeved that I'm applying everywhere else like the clappers
Will have a go with your suggestions
Thanks for the loves, everyone. As ever, you all rock!

Thank you, I'm really grateful for the warning. I'm not on a high dose anyway, 100mg tramadol twice a day. Due to needing it in capsules, I should be able to play around with the exact dose if needed. Intending to try to get to 100mg in the morning and 50mg at night and see how i get on.
I'm completely drained and pretty brain-fried today, was running on nerves to get through last night. I just hope it all starts to come together now:AStarting again on my own this time!! - Defective flylady! :A0 -

And leave it a few days.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
A much more dignified response to mine WW! Although personally, I don't see what faerie has to be sorry about?
I hope so too dragonetteThe engineer would have to go up into D's office in the loft, so he's spent an afternoon frantically tidying it up, it was an absolute tip. I don't know how he works up there, the clutter would do my head in! At least we got rid of more stuff to the charity shop
