He really likes old fashioned sweets so I bought him a hamper of them. He thinks it is so special that he won't eat any and it's still sitting there a year later. That wasn't the idea!
MIL was like that! She kept on getting them out to have a look at them!
You can get some really cool old fashioned sweet hampers now. I made D a liquorice one last year. I'm terrible for sherbert! Love it!0 -
Liquorice is WaSp's favourite sweetie! I wonder if I dare risk it this year or if he will just display it next to the other one until it goes soggy and falls apart?Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Risk it WaS, and tell him it's for him to eat and not to be an ornament! If he doesn't, I'll be coming round to claim it lol!
Just ordered two more Christmas presents, boy I'm getting organised this year....I'm usually last couple of weeks before Christmas (unless there's something specific I need to get), which I don't mind actually as I get most of it off the internet.0 -
Obnoxious email of the day goes to BIL who wrote informing WaSp about Milliefleur's party (again) including the sentence "If you are at all interested. Probably not because she's only your mother." Now WaSp definitely isn't going if BIL is in that frame of mind because an argument at the party is inevitable and will ruin it for Milliefleur. We will celebrate with her when she gets home. WaS - BIL sounds like a piece of work. Don't go, and I bet Milllefleur will have a much lovlier time coming over to yours for a special birfdae lunch with you two! x0

If you know BiL (i feel we need a new name for him.... Tw@at in law? TiL maybe?
) if likely to kick off and you want to avoid that, maybe it is best for WaSP not to go though i worry how Millefluer will feel about it? Like on the one hand you don;t want drama and to ruin the mood, but on the other at least if WaSP is there to a degree he can do damage limitation with TiL?

I'm finally feeling better, had thee weekend off work (no idea if i posted, i went to work friday in a state and got sent home after 3 hours). Area manager cam in to see me today  she thought the absences (this week and when i had tummy bug) were due to my MH so wanted to check on me, but after i'd told her they were both physical illnesses she was less worried, though i have a welfare meeting with her and occ health next week, hopefully nothing bad will happen.
Swain ha been looking after me and he bought me new kitties, and before i went to work i had dinner with his mum (lol feel like i should say MiL but its a bit early yet though if thing's continue as they are that will hopefully be the case in the future)

who was it that had the "asda incident"? Feel like I should join the club for the oh so clever and newly discovered ability to cut my finger when washing up the plastic container of a microwave meal. Recycling............grrrrrrrrrr............. (**whinges in corner of fort** it's ouchy and stings like a paper cut, especially coz I washed the dishcloth with bleach today and I was only taking a break from writing environmental assignment (I know its 2am - due tomorrow) and I got hurtsies washing up for recycling so quite frankly I feel like the environment can go ***k itself right now and calculating the heat loss factors of windows is boring anyway so stuff it, I am going to open all my curtains and put all the recycling in the wrong bin....so nah**
**finishes rant and quietly takes cuppa back upstairs to computer to continue. Leaves Jaffa cakes in fort**0 -

I had a bad night.
As well as my knee hurting a lot, the jabs I had in both arms meant that they were really painful all night. Couldn't lie on either side, and it hurts to reach for things.(I just lurve spiders!)

I'm OK thanks Flybaby, just struggling with lack of sleep so reading rather than posting.
Family issues again and I know I should keep my distance, but still feel obliged to care because it is family.0
