I pay £1 for 5 brushes. If its emulsion then I do wash them out.

I got a bit of thing about chemicals. So thats another reason why I chuck them

    Calley

Years ago, I tried cleaning brushes used for gloss. I tried loads of white spirit, cling film, everything. They always ended up as hard as rocks and useless. So I bought cheap ones, picked out the odd stray bristle from the paintwork, then chucked the brushes.

Perhaps I should have used genuine turps! :D
Or maybe it's modern gloss paints. Chemically they are different from older-style paints.

Yes, emulsion is a lot easier to get out.

You are all as daft as brushes!

I found this when I was googling the phrase:

Morning JM! How your aren't too soggy
  • Bom dia from sunny Portugal. Taking advantage of the free wifi before heading out for the next leg of our journey.

As I know only Brazilian Portuguese, it's not been very helpful so far - I recognise a lot of words but they're pronounced very differently in Portuguese Portuguese. Also the grammar is completely different. Because I am so ghostly white, people just automatically speak English to me anyway. And so far nobody has mistaken me for a turtle. I have managed to purchase bottles of water without using any English, including telling a wee man I wanted a smaller bottle so quite proud of that.

Hope everyone is wonderful. I'm off to enjoy hot springs.

    Codemonkey's Portuguese Challenge!

    Ok! Here's your challenge! :D:D:D..........

You are going to have to find a perfectly contextual way to use your Portuguese phrase "I am not a turtle" before you return!

If you do, you'll get a giant cream cake! (Virtual)

If not.........we'll, it's toooooo dire to mention! :D

Are you up for it, Code?

Say yes! :j Say yes! :j
