Evening all! Hugs and squishes all round, and chocolate and ice cream for the fort xxxxx

WaS, here is a choice of spoiler alerts for Paul. I think you would really like it, but please read a spoiler before you watch it! (Sounds weird, but you will see what I mean.)

Spoiler penguin 1 - actually I'm not even going to penguin this.

V**** said the other spoiler might reduce your enjoyment of the film. He said just to tell you that he is very vulnerable too, but he loves this and it's a really lovely enjoyable film, everything works out brilliantly and don't worry about it. Well worth watching 2 or 3 times, as it's so funny.

    End of spoiler penguin 1.

Spoiler penguin 2, if you want more details but it gives away some of the plot.

Paul is the alien. He does die, but then he brings himself back to life again. So it's a really feelgood film. Watch right to the end of the credits to see what happens to the two heros!

Other deaths - there is a bird death, but it's really funny - just treat this like a gorefest as it is a funny scene. There is also a sudden and extremely funny death of a baddie, which I don't think could upset anyone. And a couple of other baddies go over a cliff - again, very funny.

End of spoiler penguin 2. :D

I am glad I went back on the anti d's. I have noticed a big improvement in motivation and also the way people relate to me.

I've had a good week. And rather too much alcohol today at a family birthday gathering. (First time in months for alcohol).

welly, I was thinking about Escapette and her ears and back of her head getting wet. It reminded me of when DH was little. For him, my own 'emptiness' led to me stuffing myself. So consequently, I didn't learn cues for him (didn't occur to me). I just plugged him in to his bottle if he cried. Once he was so full that it started coming out of his nose as well as his mouth. His ears and hair used to get wet. Now, I am not saying this is happening to Escapette based on your single comment but if it happens frequently it may be worth running it by a childcare professional (and then only taking notice of what they say if it makes sense to you as mum).

Can someone please kick my !!! into gear and make me exercise? :o

So far today I've done 150 stars jumps :p and im planning on taking up swimming and zumba again

Basically I got weighed today in boots and could of cried as my scales have been lying to me and im a stone heavier than I thought I was :(

I'm going to give this 3 months and if I don't see results im off to the Gp to request a different mood stabiliser (as mine is notorious for weight gain and it certainly makes it harder losing weight)

Welcome to the thread (sorry it's not under better circumstances)

If you're not up to talking about it then please accept an invite into the blanket/duvet fort, and either some hugs or warm handshakes

    :)

The one and only good thing about being at Rock bottom is that the only way from here is up. I know that's probably not much help but we're here for you

There you are, Calley! I was wondering how work was going and how you were holding up. Well done on getting through the first week, that is a huge accomplishment! Remember there is only 3 weeks to go, there is an end to it. Please treat yourself with your first wage, you really have earned it.

Say thank you to Mr JM for me please, JM! I have only read spoiler 1, I trust him! I am going to give Paul a try!

Hygge is one of my favourite feelings, whitewing which I get a lot at this time of year, it's why I like autumn so much. So glad that you are feeling better, I was worried about you a little while ago.

Aw, hugs, MU! Remember however much you weigh doesn't take away from the fact that you have still lost weight! I know just what you mean about the pills, my anti-psychotic causes weight gain as does my steroid. The latter causes a lot of water retention which I am on a pill for, but it doesn't remove all of it as I can tell by how much my legs and ankles swell if I walk for a while. Apparently there are psychiatric medications that have minimal weight gain symptoms so it might be worth a chat with your doctor.

Welcome to the thread, Suki! I recognise you from the OS board, you always have wonderful tips! I lurk there daily and love it, but I am too scared to post! Well done you for posting that the thing even exists, I know just what you mean. I have my own 'talk about it and it feels real' thing right now, it's awful isn't it? I have posted about mine once in this thread and got into a dreadful panic so for now it will not be mentioned again. So sorry that you feel so low, you are always welcome to post here as much or as little as you like, you never have to tell us what the thing is. I find sometimes acknowledging that there is something wrong without going into too much about it can help, it just makes you feel a little less alone with it. Hugs, warm handshakes or squishes, whatever you prefer. You always have a home here and I really hope that the worrisome thing works out as well as it can for you.

Hallo Suki! Come on in! You can say as much or as little as you like!
Come and have a hygge! :)

    We're here for everyone who's feeling at rock bottom. Have a hug (((((()))))) and/or a squish ~~~~~~~

I liked this bit from the above hygge article!

“Research shows that people who are able to be kind to themselves rather than harshly self-critical tend to have better mental health and higher life satisfaction,” explains Dr Mark Williamson, Director of Action for Happiness, a think-tank and social change movement, “and allowing ourselves some hygge time to boost our own wellbeing leaves us better placed to contribute and help others.”

So you see, it's official! :)

I'm not so sure we don't have a word for it, other than hug and cosy. What about about snug/snuggle/snuggly, whether physical or metaphorical?
