  • The bitter HPC goons are now laying into new first time buyers queueing up to buy their first dream home and take their first crucial steps onto the housing ladder. These prize twits will never be happy seeing others knuckling down and getting on with their lives.

I enjoyed their idea that all those people are beig paid to queue up by estate agents.

How stupid are all the sheeple for not realising that?

Yes - when I was a kid it was always my dream to camp out for two or three days in bitter January weather just for the privilege of buying a 2 bed new build flat in Dartford.

While the comments may be going a bit far in some cases is this really what we have come to. I very much doubt a 2 bed flat in Dartford is anyone's 'dream' home but its probably all they can afford.

Ok, I criticise HPC, but I stick to moaning about the censorship and some nutter posters.

Some of the guys on here have accrued vast wealth through this absolute bunk we call a housing market and then instead of being a little humble that they have lucked into this wealth that they'd most certainly never have been able to "earn" in any other circumstances, they get shouty and smug against a group of people priced out of the same market.

It might not be your dream home but that doesn't mean it's not theirs. People usually queue up early when they want the latest and greatest consumer item. Be that an iPhone or a home.

Also it is where you finish that matters, not so much where you start, if you live in Dartford, what is wrong with starting out with a 2 bed flat. Even if they don't progress onto buying better properties, presumably they are moving to something better that they previously had.

It's probably beneath their dignity to start off small.
Our first property, a 1-bed terrace in Watford, wasn't our dream home either. It was what we could afford.
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

If buying the house you deserve requires a significant delay then buy something you can afford.

If you decide to gamble rent money and headspace by renting and waiting for the crash to turn the house you deserve into a house you can afford fair enough but don't try and pretend you're some sort of freedom fighter.

If you can't afford to buy anything then keep saving and hoping but keep in mind you're still not a freedom fighter - just not very well off.

You can feel the fear on here tonight. Even Hamish has managed to get himself together and come out swinging with some graphs. Tragic stuff.
