Buying doesn't make sense over such short periods, but most people don't drift in and out of jobs at the frequency you indicate.
Agreed.
I just don't agree with people who say it's ALWAYS better to buy.0 -
Daughter rented for 3 years at university, but has now bought a house. Mortgage repayments are about 60% of what rental was costing, but buying before she knew whether medicine would work out for her didn't make sense.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0 -

Problem with medicine is its very transient early on, depending on your speciality and your ability to bid for ongoing jobs.0 -
This was discussed, but she'll be in Nottingham for at least another four years. She's then hoping that being a property owner will make it easier for her to stay put.
Anyway, her decision, and she couldn't face more years or living in damp and grotty houses, that they were paying through the nose for. Oh, and she wanted cats. :-)I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

I understand, when you work hard and then come home to a less than perfect home with someone else's washing up in the sink and have to move every year. Horrible!0 -
Well, she has two lodgers (who she rented with last year) as this is the only way for money to work, but the kitchen (and bathroom and everything else!) needed a full refit, so we fit a small dishwasher in there.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
