No wonder they not admitting their mistake as no one is going to say anything to the Harrogate office but the bad publicity will effect all branches of Ventrolla.
Hope you have not paid Ventrolla anything and if you have I be tempted to take them to court as you have enough evidence.
Even if you have not paid anything I still be tempted to take them to court.
  • A miracle has happened. I hope everyone is sat down before they read this.

WE HAVE HAD A TELEPHONE CALL FROM VENTROLLA!!!!!!!!! wanting to get things sorted once and for all.

Why has it taken our negative feedback online before anything is done? :wall:

Well, it's taken you longer to have things fixed without naming and shaming, but anyone reading this has certainly learned a lot about the skills and capabilities of their staff and their levels of customer service over the last goodness-knows-how-long.

Fingers crossed for a swift result now. And a refund? :p

If it were me I would have made a video of the abysmal work/service and post it on Youtube. That way anyone searching for Ventrolla would view it as well as their promotional video.........

Their service and workmanship on this occasion and others is right up there with the worse cowboys in the industry.

Cross your fingers and hope the work gets done. To reiterate two of my previous points, something is not right with the whole situation, and Ventrolla should have been named and shamed by you long ago. I know you will be saying "Furts is being harsh again" but consider the following...

After 226 post spanning well over a year there is enough factual data to drive Ventrolla out of business. Your experience is on the Web, and like a fellow suffer, Ventrolla have not issued any reponse. Clearly Ventrolla preach disinterest, arrogance and "we could not give a ----" attitude.

It is also clear Ventrolla have no understanding of fundamentals of surveying, or measuring, or manufacturing, or fitting, or quality control, or checklists, or finishes or customer care. Indeed the question to be asked is does Ventrolla have any competence in any fundamental topic applicable to the construction industry?

Can Ventrolla remain in business in the face of overwhelming adverse publicity? My gut instinct has been Ventrolla may not be a financially sound company. Further you have experienced typical responses to such a scenario. If my instinct has validity where do you really stand on getting your work remediated, and if this occurs will Ventrolla remain in business to honour any after sales and guarantee work?

That said I wish you well and hope matters get resolved!

Agree with Furts and would add when you Google Ventrolla reviews they have very mixed results and August seemed particularly bad with many people saying pretty much the same thing about the service, issues with fitting dates, workmanship etc. Now they can't all be done by the same person because Ventrolla replied to each post in turn .

I think Clairebair1 should consider a different strategy. I am aware thanks have been given to mse Towers for Forum assistance over the last 14 months, but how about a direct appeal to Martin Lewis? I know he has received his pay off from the Forum but he still claims to be a consumer champion.

Why not issue an open letter challenging Martin to take on "the Television Property Guru Sarah Beeny" who is so proud to be used as the celebrity endorsement for Ventrolla. We all know what this really means - Sarah has her snout in the Ventrolla trough and will have done nicely in financial terms from leading innocent consumers to Ventrolla's front door.

Celebrity endorsement is a two edged sword - Sarah has made a pact with the Devil and should now be publicly asked to explain her endorsement. If Sarah does not explain in a satisfactory manner, or withdraw her endorsement, then bang goes her credibility as a "Property Guru".

Over to you Martin Lewis, please. Are you reading and listening to a view from this Forum?
  • Hello all

Just to keep you all up to speed.

There has been positive movement from Ventrolla since a visit from them last Thursday, by a new person to the company. They have booked to come and see us towards the end of the month to go though every window / room and make a list of what parts are needed to complete the job. Work should commence just after the new year with work finished, I am assuming and hoping, before the end of January.

Apparently the MD did not know the extent of the problems with our job, although we were assured otherwise by the previous manager we were dealing with. How she managed to bury her head for so long and then side step out of the mess she left we will never know.

    Ta ta xx

The reality is Ventrolla are not a huge company so it begs the question that when you have a job go so badly wrong as to leave a house in a dangerous condition and the MD doesn't know about it makes you wonder if this situation happens on a frequent basis.

What has happend on your job Claire is poles apart from making and window the wrong size, or having a bit of plaster fall off the wall during an installation. They employed cowboys who don't have a clue about sash windows or how a building is constructed.

As we have all mentioned previously ,they guys who just about wrecked your house and left it in a dangerous state had worked for Ventrolla for years so how many other poor cleints are living in houses that are dangerous.

Just my opinion but I would bet my house on it that your experience is not the first or last. They do have a lovely website but as they say " All fur coat and no knickers"...........
