If anyones open to trying other 'ugg' type boots, tkmaxx have got bearpaw boots in, i just got a pair £35 and they had some in the sale reduced to £30, tall and short styles, black, brown and cream.
in my opinion, well worth the money, better sole than uggs and very well made. should be almost £100.
    might be worth a look!!!

I posted back a few pages, be very wary with bearpaw, they are not as hardy as other brands and the heels tread down on some of the colours (in my local chesnut heels were not reinforced but chocolate ones were).

    Hmmmmm, very strange!

Must say, my heart sank when I read the first part of your post!

I haven't heard anything from them but then I haven't attempted to make contact with them as yet.
Shudoo just emailed back to say sorry about the error, and to confirm my refund has gone through ok...thank God for that.

Yep. TK Maxx have Bear Paw Uggs for £40 and they are lovely! My daughter had Ugg boots and they are one season old and look worn...just because they cost a lot - doesn't neccesarily mean that they will be hardwearing. Wear of course also depends on the wearer and your gait, weight, they way you walk etc.

Bear Paw look fantastic with thick luxurious sheepskin too.

I know which I'd prefer - £100 plus Uggs, v £40 Bear Paw. No contest (and they look the same!)

....Mmmm Story of the Emperors new suit comes to mind.

I would be grateful to know if anyone has purchased Ugg Boots from ugg boots australiauk.com . I recently purchased a pair and I think they are fake, especially as on the label on the back of the boots australia is spelt wrong (spelt Austraiia). I did e-mail dockers as per a previous thread suggested to find out if they are authorised to sell Uggs and they are not. Would be grateful to find out if anyone else has bought from this site and their view - thanks

I was about to buy off this site.

Are they sheepskin? Is sole hardy? Are they comfortable and warm? If so, I mihght buy anyway. If they are a reasonable quality, are actaully sheepskin, are comfortable and warm - I'd buy anyway. I was in Ugg today and the prices are a rip off. Even if they are fake .. for £50 - I'd not complain. :T

Would you commnet on the qulaity OP? thanks :)

By the way, this is not a pop at the OP. She has a right to get what she paid for and I sympathise. If OP gets no joy from retailier - let credit card provider know and they are obliged to refund the money as they are vicariously liable.

Phew! Glad it's all ok! Bet you're relieved, huh? Fingers crossed we're ok too though knowing our luck...
  • have a look at nordstrom they do some different ugg boots. I have ordered from them in the past and they quote prices with shipping and tax.

This was a fantastic suggestion and so much cheaper than Ugg australia US website (they want $80 just for shipping, without tax or duty, which would be an extra £40 or so ) but they haven't got my size and aren't expecting anymore stock :(

Thanks for the tip though, will be keeping my eye on it in future ;)

  • Hi I'm after some grey classic shorts. I'm fnding it hard to find any stock although after reading the above it seems Nordstom have some....yippee!!!!
it seems an okay all in price as the total would be £133 including postage and tax.
Does this seem like a good deal? Also trying to work out my size . If I wanted 5.5 UK i think it means i need a US 8????????

I could be wrong, but i'm pretty sure Bearpaws are cowhide suede lined with wool. Which is fine but doesn't quite have the same qualities that make sheep skin boots so nice to wear. Sheepskin is more delicate and takes a little more care to keep nice than tough suede. That's one of the reasons I don't like suede versions off ugg type boots, not as much give, doesn't mould to your foot, not breathable etc.

Like I said could be wrong!

I just got some Just Sheepskin in the Office sale for £35 and they're £110 on Just Sheepskin's own website. They're gorgeous aswell! BARGAIN!!

Can't go wrong with the Kirkland Cost-Co ones too, as long as you're not a brand wh*re (I've posted about them numerous times in this thread, this winter (£27 inc VAT) and last (£23 inc VAT). No doubt they'll stock them again in the coming autumn (September onwards if anyone is interested).

Think a 5.5 equates to US 7...worth checking out though.
