    Hi all

My GF wants some Argyle Knit in Fig (5.5).

Shudoo have them at £112, once I use the 20% off code!

Is this the best price i'm likely to get the genuine article for?

    Thanks in advance...................

I have a pair of sz 7 chocolate tall to sell but is it worth listing on ebay or will they get pulled? I got them from asos a few month ago & they are still BNIB but I want chestnuts from shudoo with the 20% off code :) lol

You can sell them on ebay no problem. Why do you think they would get pulled?
Just wondering if anyone has these and know what the sizing is like, I have searched for them for the last couple of weeks to try on and no shop has them.

Also wondering if anyone has purchased these off ebay as it seems to be the only place that has them at the moe ? They don't appear on any of the fake website which i am hopeing means the ones on ebay are real. At this rate I will be better getting a cheap flight to USA to get them :rotfl:

With regards the points above about being fake etc I am now thankfully more aware of fake sites thanks to this forum. I also think that the majority of people that say fake add on the link to "real" ugg site that has the list of authorised retailers and personally I would love to be a WAG but think I may get flung out due to misrepresentation.

I can't help with sizing, hopefully someone else who can will come along. Ebay is an auction site, not just one individual company/seller which may be why it doesn't appear on the sites you've checked. But please do not assume just because it is on ebay, it is genuine. In fact if you read this thread from the beginning you'll read many stories of people who have bought UA boots from ebay which have turned out to be fake. Personally, with the amount of money you are paying out, I couldn't risk buying uggs from there. But if you are determined to go ahead regardless, protect yourself as much as possible by checking feedback, paying with credit card etc.

ETA: Actually if you've checked them out is it a business selling on ebay rather than a private seller then? I think a poster on here bought kensingtons from ebay not that long ago, you could search back to see if you can find the poster and maybe PM to see how they turned out?

Also the kensingtons are in stock at https://www.cloggs.co.uk albeit at full price. Not sure if there are any codes available for there at the moment though.

I bought my Kensington Uggs from the states, but my sister recently bought hers off Ebay.
    They are exactly the same.

I don't think they've actually managed to fake these types of Uggs (.....yet ), so you should be OK buying them from Ebay.

Mine are sized a UK 6.5/39 and i'm a small UK 6 (but they are a tad roomy).
So, basically if you are say a regular UK 6, i'd go for the size 6.5 (39) and they'll fit perfectly.

That is very true, but there are a number of people on here who call anything that isn't Deckers a fake ... which just isn't factually correct.

I also see people saying that if it says ugg in the URL, then they will be fake boots ... again, I haven't seen any of that substantiated but it keeps on getting repeated. Decker doesn't own the name ugg ... they don't have a patent on the boots and anyone can manufacture ugg style boots freely. They will just not be allowed to use the trademark with the big G. I will be happy to be referred to a reference that says that ugg manufacturers cannot use the name ugg in a url because it is owned by Deckers, but I don't like facts stated without substantiating them.

The whole thread seems to be dominated by WAG types after the Decker brand and disregarding anyone else after a good quality boot without the brand premium.

Fine to tell people that these will not be Deckers, but to call an ugg boot a fake just because it isn't made by Deckers really gets my dander up.

Which came first? ... the chicken or the egg ... don't know.

Which came first? ... Deckers or the ugg boot ... the ugg boot of course. Deckers just saw a branding opportunity.

Probably controversial, but people who have read other posts by me will know that isn't actually my style. This is my opinion on the thread so far based upon what I have seen. Apologies to those who do have open minds and have shown themselves prepared to help whether people are after Deckers or not and boo to those who just dismiss any other thoughts about non-Decker boots.
Having read many of the (often aggressive) posts here, I've done some research.

Apparently, since January 2009 the (original) Aussie Ugg manufacturers (made in Australia) are no longer allowed to export sheepskin boots bearing an Ugg label! This is because Deckers, the US corporation - who now sell all kinds of other goods under the name of UGG - registered the name UGG as a Trade Mark, & have since spent zillions of $$ to prevent Aussies using their home grown generic term!

For instance, Jumbo Ugg boots have now been forced to change their name & have rebranded their product as 'Koalabi'.

Many of the original Aussie Ugg manufacturers are now going under (sic) -some having been in business for 20 years plus!

It gets my dander up too, reading posts from people who truly believe that Ugg boots made in China are genuine!

'UGG Australia' is simply a name! Expensively priced, branded & hyped to convince customers that these are the real deal! The sheep skins used are inferior to the Aussie ones, & quality undoubtedly not as good, yet so many people don't care as long as the label is 'right'!

I'm leaving this message simply as information, so please don't bombard me with abuse for simply passing on facts!

Hi all, I have been debating as to whether to get UGG boots or some good quality skeepskin ones for a while now and have finally decided to go for the cheaper option...I was wondering whether to go for the black mid calf sheepskin boots from kiwi sheepskin or black short ones from just sheepskin.com

  • I just think that there are so many fakes on ebay - how can they tell what is genuine & whats not as we all know some of the fakes are good copies. I might do it & post a copy of my receipt to confirm authenticity.

I did that too and UA got my auction pulled by ebay saying they were not genuine even though the receipt was there to say they were. Fortunately I had already sold them and the buyer was happy to continue with the sale. They do a trawl on ebay every once in a while and it is luck if you get yours pulled or not. Why they don't concentrate on the ones that list loads and loads of fakes and not the ones selling odd pairs of genuine ones I do not know.
