I'm an Aussie and I can tell you ugg boots are not lined with sheepskin they are made of sheepskin and the best ones around here are from http://www.eaglewools.com.au/

That website doesn't exist. Maybe it can only be accessed if you're actually in Oz

I'm a size 5 UK and my uggs arrived today:T
They feel snug as your putting them on but once there, they are really comfy. I ordered a US7.

im a UK size 5, can anyone tell me my US size? ive found a conversion chart that says 7-8, but which one? 7 or 8? any size 5s out there that can tell me which is best for an UGG boot?
    Thanks
I just got my tall chocolate one :j

I think you should go for the 7, Im a 4 and I got the US6, my toes are nearly at the front of the boot and although one slightly slips on the heel my other foots is bigger and it fits perfect :)

I know many people will think O god animal rights banging on again...but if most people knew the agony that a typical australian sheep went through in it's miserable life, these boots would not seem quite so attractive. I won't go into details here, but have a look at www.savethesheep.com
I'm not an activist I just care about animals.
I actually don't think I want my boots anymore. It's made me really sad.

I've been watching this thread for a few days now, trying to decide where's best to get my Uggs from... but after watching that video I've changed my mind about getting them. It was so sad, those cruel Middle Eastern !!!!!!!s should have their leg tendons slashed too to see how it feels and made to walk blindfolded being bashed with a metal rod at the same time.

I'm not an activist either but wish I was!!

Can't Ugg do some animal-friendly uggs perhaps???

Yes, the problem is though that firstly the genuine 'Ugg Australia' boots are not made in Australia. They are actually made in New Zealand and China. Secondly the term 'Ugg' on its own means nothing- that is not the registered trademark of a genuine boot. Only the 'Ugg Australia' logo is the registered trademark of the genuine article.

I would urge everyone to be careful before parting with any money- it is a lot of money to risk buying a boot that may well be of the same style, but not of the same quality. A few minutes research may be well spent.

This is a bit misleading - if you want the brand "UGG Australia" then there is no choice to make. If you want a genuine UGG boot made from Australian Sheepskin then any of these other alternatives are going to be okay. Style is one thing but why should the "UGG Australia" boots (brand name owned by large US corporation Deckers) made in some Chinese sweatshop automatically be considered of better quality just because the celebs are stupid enough to pay high prices for them. It seems a bit daft to suggest that Chinese made and American owned boots are the "genuine article"?
