  • I've just received a pair of Long Ugg Boots (sand W6) that I ordered for my wife from www.shopbop.com less than a week ago.
Great customer service, total price with free shipping (UPS) £120 .. however I was stung with a duty charge of £30 which I was gutted about, still £40 cheaper than UK price.
Unfortunately they are too small for my wife!!
I know they stretch but her toes are too close to the end of the boot so I will be ordering W7 next week and putting the W6 on Ebay.
Before anyone asks we did go in to Schuh to try on some Ugg's prior to ordering but my 18 month old daughter screamed the place down so it obviously distracted us when it came to remembering sizes!!
If anyone can recommend an International site where I can buy original Uggs where there is a chance I won't get stung by duty/customs please let me know.
    Cheers,
    Foxy.

My friend just got a pait of uggs from uggshopg.com She paid £50.00 for a pair of classic long Chestnuts, they came in€ post from China. They look fine. We wne into Schuh today as I wanted to see if they'd fit me but the sole had a completely different design to my friends. When we've looked online every pic we find shows the sole that my friend has on her £50 pair. Has she got a bargain. The ones we saw in Schuh had a sunburst on the sole whereas my friends has Ugg written in the middle section. i dont mind paying more but if we can get themfor £50 why not? Confused!

The Uggs that your friend ordered may look identical- thats their job if they are selling fakes: to make them look identical,so shows they are doing a good job- if thats what they are doing. But its not just what they look like, its how long they last, if they flop over after 3 or 4 months, if the wool is real wool or pretend wool or sheds.... its hard to say if they are fake or not but as far as Uggs go, they have a rule that they do not sell to any sites with Ugg in the web address, they have a list up on their website, so if your unsure, ask Ugg themselves if this is one of their addresses. Personally, it would still be too much of a risk for me, if they turned out to be fake I'd be gutted, £50 is a lot of money!

It would be very odd that they are £50 and genuine- unless maybe stolen or copied IMO- Theres no way Shudoo, Cloggs and even TK Maxx would be selling for more- £50 is less then the price Ugg sell on their boots so the shop you mention would either be making a loss (which would be odd as the address indicates they only sell Uggs) or there is some other problem.

Sorry, but for me, it doesn't add up, more says they would be fake then would be genuine. Especially as Ugg have the last say on how much the RRP is and how low the sale of the boots can go. Theres no way I can see them being sold by another store for 75% less then they sell them as.
  • I was out shopping today and saw a pair of black bailey button ugg boots, i came home and had a look and found a website shopping ugg boots.com selling them for £60 including postage, and they also claim there is no sales tax? Does this site look genuine, and has anyone else had experiences with this site? I'm slightly nervous now having read parts of this thread that the site is a. genuine, and b. whether i will be charged taxes afterall.

    thanks very much

Sorry if this has already been posted but Shudoo have the classic cardy jacaranda (blue) in the sale for £75, which is £60 delivered with the 20% off code. They only have 3.5, 4.5, 5.5 and 6.5 so no use to me but may help someone else.

Mine arrived and I'm so chuffed. :TThey arrived next day even though I just ordered standard delivery.
I love the colour, it will go with anything.
    I ordered the 5 1/2 as I usually take a 5 and they fit perfect. :j
Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.

I spent a good 3 hours reading through posts after, i'm in the process of trying to cancel the purchase, and have contacted the credit card company as back up. I can deal with a 10% cancellation fee, £6 is nothing when i could be taxed up to £40, and then have to send them back and try and get a refund, or not even get any boots at all. I'm just hoping they accept the cancellation or else it could all get messy and expensive.

Fingers crossed the cancellation will go through, they emailed back trying to convince me the boots were genuine etc so i've sent another one requesting cancellation. I think i'll bite the bullet and get them from schuh using student card, reading people's experiences, i'd rather have a pair that last 5 years, than pay 60 quid for a pair that fall apart after 3 weeks.

I feel like an absolute muppet falling for it.
  • I was in my local House of Fraser last week and they have just got this seasons UGGs in. I noticed that the pattern on the soles has changed (can't remember what to but it was different). Also these were priced (short grey) at £160. The quality is superb - NO wonky labels, luxurious sheepskin, just FAB! Will definately be gropping xmas pressie hints. To the post about everyone wearing them etc.. I can stand for a couple of hours on an icy winter day watching the kids play football, no socks and toes like toast! Hooray for UGGs.

I agree - UGGs are brill!! I have a problem with circulation in my hands and feet so UGGs really help during winter. Also when flying - it can be really cold in the cabin during the night but wearing my UGGs helps keep me cosy and also when walking round airports (4 hours wait for a connecting flight) as they are so comfy for walking around in.
No, not everyone likes UGGs but all the people on this forum do - if you don;t like UGGs fine but I don't see the point of putting a post on here saying you don't!! WEIRD!!
  • So do any Ugg experts here know if the sole has definately changed as the ones in Schuh are different to my friends. My other issue is that schuh only has my size that have been out on display. I've asked before if I could have a discount and have been refused. Dont want to pay full price when one of the shoes has been pulled around!
