    Are you sure about that?
The ones I've seen are made from suede and faux fur, certainly no mention of sheepskin Also, the lining is water resistant not waterproof

Really sorry not to have got back to you on this - since I got a pair of real Uggs for Christmas (wheee) I haven't been on the thread. But to answer your question, all I can tell you is that my mum goes on the muddiest walks in her Santana's, while we all shiver in our wellies, she is in fur-lined (faux, but still) bliss in her snug boots. When we get back she runs them under the outside tap and scrubs the mud off then puts them by the radiator and they still look gorgeous! She has them in a caramel colour that I can't find anywhere now though, she bought them in an English shop a few years ago. Wish a shop over here still sold them! I have found somewhere on the web that sells them, but they are EXPENSIVE. Worth it though I think, when I can next afford a splurge!

just wanted to say a big yayyy to MSE and the 20% discount - ok, so other codes may have been available, but I think it shows the collective power of MSE that one was specific to this site... and thanks to it, I'm sitting in my nice new grey classic shorts - they're lovely!

downside is that I think my gold metallics are a tad big at 7, whereas the 6 grey are snug, so might have to sell them and rebuy - doh!!

    MSE!

    duplicate!
  • I have contacted the website as that what it says to do on the invoice that came with the boots for a refund, they say takes 24/72 hours but I havent had a reply in about 72 hours now and only gives you 21 days to return them and obviously want my refund what do you suggest, surely if they dont reply I can just basically threaten them with court etc

Hi, my Mum is in Australia and then going to New Zealand, she has been asked by four members of the family to buy them Ugg boots! Apart from the Deckers Uggs, are there any other brands she should look out for or avoid? i think I read about Hartings, or Canterbury? Does anyone know? Family aren't worried about brand names just want the best possible quality sheepskin boots to keep our tootsies warm! I have a pair of original Uggs and love them, but not bothered if I get a different make.
    thanks, Clare

Its generally the ones that pretend to be Uggs that you need to watch out for- the replicas. Generally if you get some other brand in its own right- such as Emu, or Hartings, your OK. But I would stear clear of anything which pricewise look too good to be true to save you haveing to chuck them in a month.

Personally, I would stick to the label, your better off safe then sorry and I would have thought they would be cheaper in Australia.
  • What does everyone use for cleaning/protecting their Uggs?

The official kits seems pricey - £26 and my Uggs were only £74!

  • Yeah uggstore.com.au are definetly fakes, There is a good review you can learn the difference here https://www.uggbootsgenuinerealorfake.co.uk, Aparently the fakes are getting much harder to tell. Which means its even more important that you know if the website is real or fake before you buy.

I bought my Canterbury boots in a shop in Sydney. There weren't many Deckers boots on sale in Australia but when I saw them next to each other there was no comparison. - the Deckers boots looked like the cheap copies. She'll need to go to proper outdoorwear shops to get quality boots as there as cheaper identical boots in every touristy shop out there. Talk to the people in the proper shops, they'll show her the difference in all the boots and which are the best.

cheers bucky, just that I want to send them back but you need a reply via email from them first, they dont seem the type to not reply etc I will lose out as they take 15% off the refund price but I just want a reply from them so I can send them back it says 21 days you get but its not my fault if they havent replied, nit sure what the next best action to take is, as its in Australia, dont just want to send the boots then I could lose out alltogether
  • I ordered a pair of cardys and a pair of classic tall chesnuts from mandm and they arrived this morning. Such thick pile compared to my bearpaws! I am utterly in love however I mistakenly thought a size 9 would be fine for my size 8 feet and they are too big :( I should have read through the 300 pages to see that I am meant to order a size smaller lol.
What are returns like with mandm?
Where can I get a pair of decent sheepskin, not necessarily the uGg brand in the shop as I am running out of time I need them by.
