Mwesty, are you allowed a third party who is not part of an organisation or company? Their message is not really clear as they say other than yourself but then you could easily get a friend to write it if its just a case of written confirmation from a third party that they are fake.

Paypal doesnt make it easy  How was the payment funded? If it was credit card then I think maybe you should ring the card company and do a chargeback just to put a hold on the funds being paid to paypal.

Have you called Paypal and told them that the stores wont help you? They really should be more helpful seeing as ebay removed the listing.

Mookie, I read it as though they're saying that any individual may produce a letter so long as they have no affiliation with myself. So as I do not personally know anyone from this forum then I can't see why this wouldn't be acceptable. The individual probably need to be contactable if Paypal need a verbal declaration the boots are not authentic.

I paid using half my Paypal balance and half my debit card. You can dispute payments with debit cards but this is usually a lengthy process.

If someone is willing to write this letter and maybe accept a phone call from Paypal to confirm they're not authentic and to possibly confirm no affiliation with myself it would be greatly appreciated.

I can't see any other alternative unfortunately.

I have some emus & they are definitely wider in comparison.
The deckers Uggs are twinfaced sheepskin & there is a thick/dense fur lining/reverse where the Emus are lined with Marino wool and have a much softer less dense feel about them.

I would do it, the only thing is my printer is not working. If you want to PM me some pics I'll see if I can do it and print it at a friends.

I did use to work in retail (many years ago) in both shoe shops and sports shops as manager so i have dealt with a lot of shoes so this might help. ;)

I believe the Canterbury boots are wider on the calf, they look a lot like the Ugg Australia boots and are a fraction of the price. A few members on here wear them. http://www.hartings.co.nz/canterbury_footwear.asp
  • I am still on my search for companys that are selling quality Genuine Sheepskin uggs that are not made by Deckers

I have come across another- they are also offering free postage for a limited time, so a great deal!
