Thanks mookie, thats really helpful. I'm after some juicy couture stuff :D When ordering from the US what amount can you expect to pay in customs etc when they arrive(order value around £150)? I'm sure i've seen this info posted on here before but can't seem to find the post.

Anything over £18 is liable for charges. The value of charges depends on the items tariff code used when they process the charge. HTH
  • has anyone had the shudoo code emailed to them yet? cos supposely it was meant 2 b sent round in an email at 7pm to be used from 2mo

    Hi

I need some advice please. I bought some Uggs from eBay - this is the listing http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=270301340161

I was always very cautious when looking for the boots and thought £91 was not a redicously low price which could represent a cheap imitation. After receiving the boots I have noticed several signs they're fake including a pinned label saying Snow Boots, the outside label in brown not black and the boots being made in New Zealand instead of China.

Had I seen this forum beforehand I would have just purchased them from one of the trusted sites on here but unfortunately I didn't know it existed. The seller claims they are genuine on the listing - I want my money back and I don't want other people to be caught by this seller.

Where do I go from here?
  • If they have a pinned label on them they are fake. Did you pay by paypal? If so start a claim with them saying that the boots are fake.

(If you got the chestnut ones, the label on the back is brown, not black so don't mention that in your case.)

    Good luck!
  • Hmmmm
The listing says tall Ugg boots though not Ugg Australia so you might have trouble when you are claiming!

Anyone know if the shudoo code will be generic?
Also when does the ASOS 20% off brands end?

You shouldn't have any problem claiming at all, even the mention of the retail price of £150 in the shops inducates that these were sold on the premise that they are the Ugg australia's.

I wasn't aware that the label on the back was suppose to be brown, I thought it had to be black. They are very very good fakes but I ain't paying £90 for a fake. I have escalated a claim today and the seller said he did not know they were fake and would give a refund but I woud have to pay to get them back to him.

Should I just do this and accept it as a lesson learnt?

The seller sent me this email regarding the refund and postage etc..

    mike

just been reading on the net that paypal will only refund if you get a expert to certify on paper
    they are fake.

looks like this will cost a pretty penny, I am always willing to refund on return off boots so
if you change your mind let me know and we can clear this up by the end of the week

    no reply needed

    To which I replied...

    Daniel,

Thank you for allerting me to that - I was not aware of this.

Not a problem, after some research I have found out what to do.

I need to send the boots off to Trading Standards immediately. They will confiscate the boots and give me a letter with proof the boots are fake.

I fax this copy over to Paypal. The refund is then given and your without an eBay account, without money and without boots.

The boots are between £10-£15 in China, this is how people are making huge amounts of profit through Ugg Boots on eBay - and this is where this batch of boots probably come from.

    Regards
    Mike
  • Well I would just take up his offer.
The thing is that the ad does not state they are Ugg AUSTRALIA

Any type of sheepskin boot can be called an ugg. So I don't think they have actually lied in the ad.
I would take it as a lesson learnt!
  • Sorry just read your reply.
Hope u get it all sorted!
