UGG FOOTWEAR DIRECT (aka MAIN UGGS)
I too have fallen victim to this website scam. I purchased (or so I thought) my much coveted ugg boots on the 15th Jan. i recieved an email from paypal but nothing from ugg footwear direct. I attempted to contact them through both the hotmail address and the web addresson the website but received no response.

I have now put in a claim with paypal but I am not confident about a reinbursement after reading these posts. I have also written a report with ripoffreport.com as I am so annoyed about all this, I had a look at teh website mainuggs.com and this looks to be the same website as ugg footwear direct but with a different name. He can't even be bothered redesigning the page the arrogant f***.

Is there any way to find out if this is the same guy?

A very furious (and ashamed that I fell for it) Susan!

    Hi Susan,

I also purchased some Uggs from this website on the 15th and a few days ago emailed them asking when I will get something. Im also really really not happy about what ive been reading on here and other places. I cant believe PAYPAL allows this kind of thing? They must be getting how many complaints yet they allow this user to continue to receive how much money a week? Im not really sure if I can open up a dispute yet ive emailed the sites email again not that I expect to hear back, but not sure if its to early to open a dispute....

I just did some searching online and found this info about www.uggfootwear-direct.com which is interesting... There is another email here which I havent tried and they actually give a name "Leon Mikhilovskiy". There are many sites that you can look up info on here is the link to the full info including an address assuming it was a real address.

Most website owners dont realise their info is in the puplic domain....
  • I also got duped by this site the same week as you. I have complained to Paypal and am awaiting their response. My credit card company have said they will refund the money if PayPal don't.

Looking at the site, definately looks like the same people!

dusiafootwear.com was that site, then uggfootweardirect, now this new one. Its highly likely its the same person due to the web design!

    Any newbies looking for Uggs
    avoid mainuggs.com!!!!!!!!

Shame you cant get the paypal email to report them.

As I had suspected, previously dusiafootwear! who did send Uggs early september time, realising how easily they are getting away with it they continue to take money and not send boots. I have mentioned earlier in thread that an order I placed came from Australia (very delayed I might add)....where this person is registered. They also had a return address in Miami and one in Bristol.

The problem is they have changed their email regularly with paypal so paypal struggle to trace them!

I think its best just to warn people over and over to avoid mainuggs, if we mention the name enough it will come up on google and might save some people falling victim.

Susan, and others ripped off by uggfootweardirect.

this guys name and address is in this link, maybe paypal might be better tracing his new account for mainuggs through these details. Worth a try

  • hi there, im new to this but def wish i had discovered this forum before i ordered my uggs off australia direct. they arrived 2 days ago, i cant bear to look at them, i've thrown them back in their box...they are awful, the sole is hung away from the boot on 1 and they just look cheap and nasty also the label inside says made in new zealand rather than china, but despite this i am glad to read some of you were lucky with your purchases. has anyone had any luck at returning them and receiving full money back plus postage costs?? cheers

Hi, Im afraid this website is a scam ... see my original post on page 131 and all the posts that follow on from that.

I received a full refund after disputing it with paypal but this was afew weeks ago now at least. I think people are now having problems getting a full refund as the seller is clearing all funds from their account.

Good luck, I hope you manage to get it sorted.

    Hi,

Oops very sorry! I was refering to uggfootwear-direct, not this one as Becky has quite rightly pointed out!

Please ignore me, just had a look at this site you were refering too, not sure if they genuine ... they look like the real thing though.

I have seen the ones on ebay for £220.
    What a liberty!?
Talking of liberties... Soletrader have put their price up it seems.
    I bought my Cardy's for £100. That's a £30 increase in under a month!

I still have the Cardy's in the boot of my car that I have had for three weeks (the ones from Soletrader).
My husband won't let me have anymore.
How do I tell him? I really wanted to wear them today as the weather is amazing!
He'll kill me if I bring anymore Uggs into the house.
I already have 6 pairs of various colour and or design...
He may have a point actually!

:rotfl: Tell him your friend bought them, decided they dont fit afterall but its too far for her to go and return them, she asked you to ebay them. Wait a week or so before listing them and then say you quite like them and fakes are selling for roughly the same price so you feel it would be a waste to let somebody else grab them at that lower price when they are genuine....sooooo youre going to buy them for that bargain price yourself obviously as a favour to her. :D

Of course I have never done this myself. ;)
