    hi ggl and rubbish

my uggs were dispatched on 23rd dec and not with me yet (from USA). Seller (powerseller, excellent ugg feedback) says they are backed up at customs. She said that customers who ordered a week before me haven't got theres yet. This eased my panic a little, but looks like I may be in for a long wait yet!

Hmm, if the payment wasn't made directly through PayPal then you're probably better off going through your credit card company.

When I bought my boots I was automatically taken to the PayPal website. If in your case you had to enter your credit card details directly on the uf-d website then I think the normal rules apply (i.e. you'll possibly have some kind of protection against fraudulent online sellers).

But I realise there are plenty of people on here who are far better placed to advise on getting refunds from credit card companies... :D

    Hiya,

Thanks for your help. Thats good news for you!

Unfortunately I was not logged into paypal when I made the transaction but I did receive a receipt via email from them and have a receipt number.

Do you think I may still be able to get my money back? I have been emailing paypal to ask how I dispute an item which does not appear in my transaction history but so far they have not been very helpful! Does anyone know if it is possible to do this?

    Lotte

This is excellent news. I ordered from Hartings on the 9th December "in time for xmas" and still no sign of the boots even though my a/c was debited on the 13th Dec. Mrs Charltonboy is beginning to lose patience. I called Parcelforce yesterday quoting the reference number given to me by "Nancy" @ Hartings and they tell me that the Boots have not entered the UK. Sent an email to Hartings yesterday looking for their side of the story but not heard anything yet. Clinging to the hope that they will arrive soon but in all honesty I am getting bad vibes and feel this is becoming less likely. For an established company to take a month to get some boots from one side of the World is a joke. Will update the forum if anything changes!

I dont think its them at all - after much research it seems there is a big delay over xmas. Mine left on the 24th and havent arrived yet :-( those that are waiting delivery when they arrive can you add the date they were sent so those of us waiting can get an idea of how long everything is taking?

It definitely seems like it's a scam, lots of them appeared over the hols. Probably best to get in touch with your credit card company. You should be covered although it might take a while to get your money back.

We also ordered Canterbury boots from Hartings in November. They arrived in the middle of December. From memory, they took about 3.5 weeks to arrive. I was beginning to panic as they were a present - but they were well worth the wait. I couldn't work out why they took so long to arrive though.
Please don't worry, they will turn up!
