  • DO NOT BUY FROM THIS EBAYER!!!!!!!!

It's my gut instinct that someone has hijacked this account to sell UGG boots that simply don't exist, just to try cash in on the recent UGG madnes!!!!

This account hasn't been active since 2005 and has only this one listing, but is also offering a number of sizes within that listing. Smacks to me of a huge con
that was my instinct too, when i went to the payment pages, i thought something wasnt right, then i came on here, in the meantime i got a message of another ebayer saying it was a hijacked account! its a shame so many niave people would have just fired 85 quid off into cyberspace.

They are THE ugg site, they never have any stock though and their shipping costs are higher than other places people here have recommended ;)

My OH sister lives in America and so I was going to get teh shipped to her home address and then for her to post them to me. I just wanted to know if the store was selling genuine Ugg Boots or not. Not sure how much it will be to post though but I'm sure it will be cheaper than they charge on their website.
I'm just not sure what size to order though, I am a size 4 what size would you say I need to order?
If this has helped you please don't forget to click Thanks, thankyou.

I would be very suspicious of a website that was set-up literally a week ago with what appears to be the sole intent of selling UGG boots in the UK! ;)

However, there is a contact name and address which does match the name and address the site is registered to, so who knows. I'm not sure I'd trust buying anything from them though

I agree with Chameleon, and the pictures along the top of the page are not all Ugg australia boots. The pictures on the product are taken from Ugg australias site, so if you wanted to check if they are legit you could email Ugg australia and ask them if the site is an authorised stockist. They have 60+ units of a boot that is sold out everywhere....a bit strange, i wouldnt risk losing £100.

Very interestingly there is a completely different address comes up on the Google checkout page ;)

    UGGS BOOTS UK,
    40 coleman road,
    london,
    GREATER LONDON
    SE5 7TG GB

Hmmmmm seems they are also using an invalid VAT number too!!!!

The VAT Number: GB-326159487 is NOT VALID.
    Reason: Invalid Country Code/Number.

Well, mine from cozyboots have arrived, I think I'm going to collect them from the depot today. How does the customs work when delievered by fedex? do you usually pay on delivery or do they call you afterwards?

    Becky x

On the ebay thing, I've ordered a pair from there. I know it's a risk but I asked all the right questions and this seller has loads of good feedback, I really want those short sand ones! Can't wait for my size to arrive!

    Hi Becky,

I paid £18 for my customs & duties charge and I got the kids short classics. If you bought bigger than a 3.5 then you'll get VAT on top of that as well. Bumps the price up a bit when you have to pay customs as well. Fed Ex will invoice you about 2 weeks after by letter (talking of which, i have lost my invoice, anyone know what I can do about that?)
  • Well that is it though and those comments will put people off. I bought mine from cosyboots and they were too big so what else can I do with them? Spend £25 on sending them back or stick them on eBay? So now I have mine on eBay and they are real. I've put a note saying I have all the paperwork to show where they are bought from and how much I was charged and the buyer can happily have that t show they are not being ripped off, I just want to recoup what I paid for them.

I bought a pair on eBay tonight and I've paid £87 for for the short choc. The buyer had bought them from alamo shoes in the US (checked on their buyers feedback, LOL) and they sell the real mccoy but if they are not (they have the fabric made in china label she told me) then I will do the Paypal 'not as described' thingy and accept being out of pocket.

The thing is, I think you CAN buy them on eBay but look out for people who have new accounts, low or poor feedback. I have feedback of over 11,000 and in all my time selling I've had 7 negs - I am not about to spoil that with a pair of boots am I. If in doubt email the seller, if they are a good seller then they will reply with an answer, if they don't reply then don't buy from them. You really just have to use your common sense in all honesty. How many of us here have boots we have imported and that do not fit? how else are we going to sel them? I reckon they are the 'must have' for stockings this year and if they don't sell this week they will next as everyone gets paid tomorrow!!

It is a hard call right now. Those sellers who DO sell the legitimate ones have hiked their prices up big time - £100 for kids short classics plus £25+ postage plus the chance you might get stung for customs if you buy from the US. The boots that are available for $120 in the shops are being sold for £120 by US sellers. The thing is, people WILL pay it because they are desperate for them.

My ones from cozyboots ended up costing me £90 so I would of been better buying them here in the UK and I could have tried them on but I can't find anywhere selling the kids ones. But now everywhere is sold out and I can't get them for love nor money here in the UK. What a nightmare.

Even Ugg Australia UK have run out. They've not had any boots on their site for ages.

I completely agree with you, I have two pairs on ebay at the moment, I ended up with so many pairs and every time I ordered some (from bootbarn etc.) loads of colleagues at work would go - oh go on get me a pair too! So I have one of my frivolous buys (cos who really needs 5 pairs of Uggs) and a pair of Black ones that a colleague bought me in the USA as a gift but I already have a pair, I was going to sell them to a friend but they were too big for her. So really its either ebay or nothing!

I am abit gutted though, I found one seller on eBay (the link I posted last night) who had a pair of tall black kids classics for $125 - while waiting for her to answer my question someone else bought them and she has no more. Someone else has them for £99.99. Now bearing in mind the mark up is *usually* around 100% these must be around $60, maybe $70 from Deckers, but Deckers have this big thing with their customers that they CAN sell them on eBay but they can only sell at the RRP or more as this protects the brand (and fair enough). If they do not comply they lose their accounts.

So, what narks me (and I guess I would not buy these on principle then), $125 is a fair price as you conduct your business on eBay and have extra fees to pay, £99 though is $200 and that means for each person that buys these boots that seller (IF they are selling legit boots!) is making $130 profit (less their sellers fees) on EACH pair!! Bearing in mind you might also have a customs charge, plus the shipping, some sellers are really putting their prices up and I think in that case I would rather go without.

I think that in 2 weeks time people will start turning to eBay UK as they have left it too late to shop in the US for Xmas pressies, I don't think I'll sell my boots this time around but i will sell them a week from Xmas when everyone wants them for their kids Xmas presents. Basically, after Xmas they are going to be as common as muck!!

My seller has told me she is sending them Special Delivery today. I've never been more excited, I think I am going to be hunting the postman down tomorrow morning. My husband on the other hand is Far from impressed as I already have 3 pairs in the house!! 1 pair waiting to sell as they are too big and 2 pairs that are waiting to be returned (tomorrow) if the postie arrives before the mail is collected. Oops. :rotfl:
