the famous Uggs are actually made in China (and occasionally New Zealand) so any that say Australia made are not "real" uggs anyway.

Plus ebay are having trouble with uggs at the moment - be wary of any you see going for £90 ish that are supposedly new and have pics of the proper logo with the larger G in the middle - I bought some (on behalf of a friend) and they were withdrawn by ebay within hours of me winning them luckily I'd paid by paypal and got my money straight back.

the only place you can get "genuine" uggs cheaper than retail that I've seen is places like designer outlets - the McArthur Glen outlet at york has short ones in lots of colours @ £110 at the moment

Plus my 18 year old daughter has a pair of synthetic £9 uggalikes and she loves them.
Can I ask you how you went about getting the money back from ebay? My daughter bought a pair and they have now been delisted and the seller unregistered. Paypal have sent us a tracking number which shows that the boots are supposed to have been shipped from china - but we're not holding our breath - the seller was supposed to be UK based! All sounds very fishy, but ebay say you have to wait 14 days for the boots to turn up!

This is driving e nuts - looks like I'll be keeping the size 3's at this rate (and ahem, maybe treating myself to some more....)

In my 'quest' I have found other sites that offer shipping to the UK and they all have the Ugg Logo so they should be authorised stockists. I am not sure what will get past customs these days but I hope it helps you - I have seen more of the Gold as well while browsing around:

http://theoutdoorworld.com/search.cfm?keyword=ugg+australia Outdoorworld - you need to call them for a shipping quote

http://www.duckduckgooseboutique.com/store/cart.php?m=product_list&c=104 Not sure if they ship to the UK though

http://www.sonomaoutfitters.com/vendors/ugg_main.html They say they will email a shipping quote but they do have the Kids Sunshine Ugg in Black or Chestnut reduced to $70!!

I'll post more as I find them for you.

I've been through Quidco for 5% and gone to Cloggs http://www.cloggs.co.uk/invt/9092

Got the short Kids Sand in a UK size 2 and also used code TOCMV550 and got another £5 off sp paid £69.95 and got free delivery on them. So if you have small feet or kinds to get boots for then these might be OK for you. I am not sure on the colour with it being so light and I can weatherproof them but I decided that I'll sell them through my business if they are too small and, hopefully, get back what I paid for them. Espcially now it has started getting cold.

I think I am becoming more obsessed than Mookie!!

Ok, hands up those of you who have become obsessed with buying boots this winter, and not just UGG's :D

I have now managed to amass at least 12 pairs of boots this winter :o ... all from various sources, although that might be reduced to 10 pairs unless Faith can manage to replace the boots I ordered with bigger sizes (do their sizes always come up so small??? ) but nonetheless ... and I still have half a dozen styles on my "must have" list :rotfl: :o

I came across www.grommies.co.uk after searching for some Ugg boots for my 2 year old. This site are based in the Uk, got hold of some pink boots for my daughter in size 7-8 (cost me £38) and ended up getting a pair in Sand for myself at the same cost. I know they are not Uggs but last winter I spent £160 on uggs for myself and I reckon these are just as good at a fraction of the price. tongue.gif

Bye bye Mr Customs & Excise! I am buying from this site from now on.action-smiley-033.gif

LOL, these boots are for ME though and I'll look after them!! I do want some for my kids but given I just bought her some Clarks ones and she refuses to wear them I refuse to pay £40 on some boots that will sit on the shoe rack forever. I don't really get anything for myself as all my money goes on the kids but these are my Xmas present, there is no way I could ever justify paying this sort of money on boots otherwise, BUT it is just nice to have something nice just the once and yes, this time I wanted a label. Hubby has done extra overtime so he said I could have them. He gets a new external hard drive (no I can't see the point in that as the PC has one inside already and he can't see the point in my boots, LOL) and I get some new Boots, it is the first Xmas present for a long time as he has done the extra work this month as we have the money for it. For the kids though? At 5 years old, no way, they would not be interested in looking after them and could grow out of them in a months time so there is no way I would spend this money on boots for them!! I'll get them wellies and thick socks, LOL!! :rotfl:

LOL, I got some new wellies for when I walk the kids to school and it hasn't rained since. I've been willing it to rain so I can wear the new spotty wellies but nope, the only day it does it comes by surprise and I am already down the school!!

My mind is an Ugg Blur because I spent about 6 hours on and off looking last night for SOMEWHERE that had the kids sized tall classics in stock that could ship. Bear with me and I'll go through my history later and I'll see if I can find them.

I believe it might have been Saks though so check on their site in the meantime.

Just to add to this, it seems many are reluctant to ship outside the US due to Credit Card fraud - I found lots of sites that would not ship, they are sooooooooooo missing the boat on this on and would certainly maximise their sales if they did ship them. Luckily I have a friend in the US I can ship to and she send them onto me, i realy wanted them for next weekend bt I don't think I'll get them now so if you do have friends in the US then this is your best option. Everywhere is offering free ground shipping on these because of the price and it certainly is not going to cost my friend $60 to ship them over by USPS!! I would guess at $30 max so I'll be the winner on that even if I have to pay duty on them. So, if you are not desperate for them (LOL, yeah right) and have friends in the US, get them to buy them for you and you'll save even more money.
