They arrived!! :j
They are too big!!
I got a US4/UK3 classic short Black as I am generally a kids size 3 but I can EASILY get my hand in down the back of the boot. Am I right in assuming that they should be sung as they stretch?? They should not slip around right? I think I am going to have to go for a US 3 instead.
I am sooooooooo gutted!!0 -

However, they are defiantely the real thing, they came in a box with normal lid (not hinger, might be because they are kids) both individually wrapped, they feel soft and lovely, inner sole is cream, smell lovely, black stitched all of which looks perfect, reinforced heel - i can feel it - but they even look huge and could fit a UK Kids 4 as they are too big for me. I am going to give them another try just in case but it looks like it is eBay for these ones.0 -
my 2 pairs uggs arrived from rei today. i bought sand short for myself and choc short for my sis. they are both gorgeous. if i could work out how to post pics i would post pics of themm beside my sh&tty black fakes from ad. the differences are unbelievable. the main thing i have noticed is on the ad short black ones, the inside label says pure wool lining. on the rei it says sheepskin. also the rei boots are much rounder, much thicker, stiffer at the back. i could go on and on about the differences. DO NOT ORDER ANY BOOTS FROM AD THEY ARE INFERIOR FAKESmember number 240 in da norn irn club

the famous Uggs are actually made in China (and occasionally New Zealand) so any that say Australia made are not "real" uggs anyway.
Plus ebay are having trouble with uggs at the moment - be wary of any you see going for £90 ish that are supposedly new and have pics of the proper logo with the larger G in the middle - I bought some (on behalf of a friend) and they were withdrawn by ebay within hours of me winning them luckily I'd paid by paypal and got my money straight back.
the only place you can get "genuine" uggs cheaper than retail that I've seen is places like designer outlets - the McArthur Glen outlet at york has short ones in lots of colours @ £110 at the moment
Plus my 18 year old daughter has a pair of synthetic £9 uggalikes and she loves them.0 -
I have a pair of the synthetic ones from M&S and have had them for about 2 weeks. The thing is I live in them and I have already started to wear them 'to one side' and yesterday was walking up the road from dropping the kids at school and was getting really bad pains in my feet from them. I went home and took them off and wore my trainers for the first time in weeks. It's kind of weird, it feels like you are going out in slippers when you have them on, LOL!!0

And these aren't the genuine celebrity uggs either.....these are generic uggs0 -
Yippee, have managed to sell the wrong boots i got to one of the guys in the office :j . Only sold them at cost, as didnt want to charge him more, but at least i don't have to return them to REI and lose the customs charge.
Have also decided to give REI the benefit of the doubt and assume that them sending me the wrong boots (even though they were right on the invoice!) was an error in the warehouse. So have ordered another pair, and am going to e mail them to get them to double check that they send the correct size. Surely it couldnt happen twice!?
I want my boots sooo badly and figure i'm willing to take the customs charge. One thing i have noticed is that the invoice said 127.49 on it, and they appear to have assumed that this is the GBP price rather than USD. Will query it with the customs office and see how i get on? Very confusing though0 -

Hmmm, just spoken to customs office and they have calculated it correctly. 17% Import Duty on the boots inc postage, which works out as £15 give or take exchange rates and 17.5% VAT which is £17 give or take VAT.
Worth a try!0 -
