I've have only had the email to say my order has been recieved but it doesn't give any details on how long it will take to dispatch or anything and I'm going away in a week and really really want to take them with me. But I guess thats a bit of a long shot now I should have ordered earlier.
Oh and thanks to everyone who's given advice on this thread I still wouldn't have ordered a pair yet if I hadn't stumbled upon you all.
I spoke to REI on Live Help yesterday (Mon) and they told me 2-4 weeks. Which kind of put me off a little bit to be honest as I am going away in 3 weeks and wanted them for them (yes, I know they are supposed to be for Xmas but who wants to wait that long??). HTH.0 -

I'm in NY for her birthday... are they cheap there or would i be better on rei.com?
What size is a US7?
Definitely get them from over there. You can be sure you are getting genuine ones for a start!
Also all the big department stores sell them. If you go to Macy's, go to customer services with your passport and they will give you a card that gets you 11% discount in any Macy's store. Not sure if the other big ones do the same? It covers all the tax and them some anyway. Nordstroms sell Uggs as do Bloomingdales and there are always promotions etc on. I saw Uggs were 20% off recently but no delivery outside the US. Short ones will be around $120 and tall ones $150. If you go near an outlet mall, there may well be an Uggs outlet store as well where they are even cheaper.0 -

I emailed Ugg with some pictures of my Australia Direct Uggs and also went to a local stockist. Both said they were not what they'd endorse as Ugg Australia boots! They're fake! Mine smell chemically (do your daughter's?) the soles are thin, the fabric the stockist said wasnt real suede and certainly didnt look it compared to the ones in the store - and I have single ply printed labels not stitched in well, instead of the folded over embroiderd label. Also says Made in Aus - which the genuine ones aren't, according to Ugg.
If she paid on a credit card then she will have protection under section 75 of the consumer credit act 1974. She/you should call the card company for advice. I have emailed AD and asked for a refund and also said I wasnt happy paying postage both ways on something which is not as described - ie: genuine Ugg Australia boots. I haven't had a reply yet!
You can also contact trading standards in Victoria, Australia (AD is in Melbourne) online and fill in a complaint form - which I will if I dont get any joy from AD.
I will post back when/if I get a reply. The cost including postage for me was £104 - so I MIGHT get some protection from my visa card - although the value of the goods has to be £100 or more ... which mine aren't, it's the postage cost which takes it over the £100.
Good luck - AD say they give refunds if you're not happy (anyone had one yet??) but they don't refund the postage - which is what's  -ing me off!:hello:Hello!0 -

Spot on! And fab advice about the card too - shame I can't afford a visit myself! Just to say when I've been after something specific I've always tried to phone ahead and ask the store if they have loads in stock. You can ask them to lay some boots by for you in the right colour and size ... not sure if NYC is going Ugg bonkers this year so it might be worth a call! Also the Macy's card sounds fantastic - but if you buy elsewhere you'll have to add on tax to the ticket price. Have a great trip!:hello:Hello!0 -
yay my tall chocolates from AD are out for delivery today a day early
they only left australia 2 days ago and have been to dubai and germany before arriving in the uk this morning. i'm going to stay in all day until they arrive!0 -
I have been looking for the tall ones. This is such a minefield really isn't it. I can't get anyone to sell the ones I need as I am kids size and I really want black and tall and the companies I found selling them will not do international orders. So, I started checking eBay. now I found this one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Genuine-UGG-Tall-Black-UK-3_W0QQitemZ230186321791QQihZ013QQcategoryZ63889QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
I see she has noted 'genuine uggs' but as they are uggs they could well be fakes and there not be any comeback to the seller as they are uggs and therefore not misdescribed so you would not be able to get your money back. They have covered themselves I guess as it does not say they are Australian Uggs, just the box says this. It does say they are made in China but the fact they have kept the item Private kind of smacks as suspicious in my eyes!! I hate it when people sell like this. I am tired of looking now!
Thanks for the info on the delivery though niknaknoo, that is most helpful and I guess would be the right answer. Parcelforce too. Great.0
