Goodbye to the UK as we know it

  • Although you deny being in the EU, in fact both Little England and Sweden are in the EU. So under free movement within the EU, there are no channels for you to go through, you can just go.

I know! I meant channels as in registering with certain places in order to work in Sweden. I cannot just turn up and take on a job without registering for tax purposes and obtaining a 'Personal ID Number' but yes I have the right to move to Sweden anytime being an EU Citizen.

Whereas these refugees have risked their lives to escape a war zone, ISIS etc and quite possibly given their life savings to people smugglers. I bet they'd be gutted if they had to change places!

Please do not refer to me as a 'Little Englander' just because I am concerned about an influx of refugee's coming into Europe or our country without adequate checks being carried out. I am all for people being allowed to integrate into our country and society whether they be migrants or refugees. I am however concerned about security and how 'we' are going to afford to help all these people.

I would love nothing more than to enter Sweden to live, but I like many others would have to go through the proper channels.
Therefore, what makes refugees any different?

As Sweden is in the EU (just like the UK;)), you could pack your suitcase and move there tomorrow. That's one of the benefits of EU membership.

Anyway, this was just my rant and its starting to attract extreme views from both sides, I'm having 15 year old readers digest surveys quoted at me now so its probably time to lock the thread before it gets any more ridiculous.

    Mods - please lock?

Sounds like the request of a dictator ?
Silence people, they don't agree with me.

If you don't like where it is going, then perhaps you should not have started it.

I would say that if the mods are weak enough to accede to a request to lock the thread, they should at least take away your privileges to start threads!

You really should check out your sources with care. The gatestone institute is not exactly non partisan, being pro anything Israel does however monstrous and anti anything Muslim.

I just long for the time when humanity shakes off all religious delusions and fear of anyone not quite the same as us, but I fear that will be many generations after I have gone.

The Gatestone institute describes itself as "non-partisan, not-for-profit international policy council and think tank is dedicated to educating the public about what the mainstream media fails to report.". CAGE, on the other hand, don't even attempt to pretend.

Jews aren't known to behead homosexuals, or stone adulterers (not in this century at least). I know which "side" I prefer. Still, even with the alleged bias in the article, I'm still waiting for someone to turn up and say "yes, my area has been swamped by immigrants who don't speak my language or share my values and it's a better place to live because of it". Funny, that.

I have no problem with refugees, who need help, and need asylum. But i also think that the economic migrants need to take some responsibility and hold off. They should take a step back and stay in their own (safe) countries and let those who need help get it , rather than tagging along for a better life in Britain. Hell i live with two immigrants and one of them is the most unpleasant, obnoxious, entitled to being i've ever had the misfortune to meet, and i'm counting down the days till he moves back to Turkey (which he thankfully plans to do). A refugee would probably be grateful to have a roof over their heads, he on the other hand complains about every little sodding thing. I'd like less people like him coming over here.

So your answer is to reject all refugee's (sic)?

I bet you wouldn't be so supportive of a huge influx of boatloads of refugees into you local area, but then you're pretty safe where you are ain't you you little Midlander.
