What's the best way to sell my private number plate N5 AUD?

ignore the users above saying it's valuless. For someone who doesn't have any affinity to the letters NS/n5 and also happens to be an audi fan this plate is meaninless.
But for the right person the sky is the limit. There might be a person out there who wants exactly what youre selling.0 -
My plate starts with w2 0 don't want to put whole number on here. Would it be worth anything?0

The thing is the OP doesn't know what it's 'worth' like you say, a plate is only worth something to someone who maybe willing to pay the price, I would expect AUD 1? may have more appeal, the OP maybe hard pushed to get anything much above £80 for the plate.
I'm suspecting he is confusing a value with desirabilty and quick sale, that said L NN AUD on the dvla is £499 which includes the £80 transfer/retention, often single digits may fetch more. But it all will depend on someone actually wanting that particular reg .0 -

I bought a car once with a personal plate. It wasn't anything relevant to me but who's to know? Anyone who saw it thought either "There's a posh bloke with more money than sense" or....no I can't think of another option.
But the demand hasn't gone up for the expensive ones , there are many many more plates now for sale and still for sale at silly prices .0 -

if it was W 20 then it would be worth quite a bit but the more numbers you add the more the price could go down or up if it really is a desirable plate
because you wont reveal the whole plate then nobody will be able to help with a price0 -
Thanks it has w2 o followed by two other letters, not willing to post whole number plate.0

That w2 o doesn't make any sense at all with lower case letters.
Do you mean W2 O**
We don't need the actual letters - use asterisks for letters.
Depending on the 3 letters you're looking at £200 to £800 - on a good day - but don't look for an immediate sale.
Get it on retention and try it on eBay with a starting price of at least £500.0 -

Not really, there's 2 full sets of combinations available every year, and what looks like at least 200 area combinations. That means there's in the ball park of 400 new plates a year for any given initials combination.
There are appear to be literally thousands of plates than end in my initials, starting from £208 (inc fee). I remember wanting to get one 10 years ago and there was a lot less choice and much higher prices.
I get the impression that once the novelty of private plates wore off, it was more prestigious to show how new the car was, unless you're looking at the classic ones "N5" would be worth a fortune, for instance.
That said, N5 AUD might be of interest to someone. Someone whos name starts with N that has an 'S' series audi, someone whos initials are NS and has an audi, someone who's name starts with N and is from Saudi?
Your best bet is to stick it up on eBay at the retention cost (£88 before ebay fees) and send it to whoever wins it.0 -
Try listing it on souq.com0
