Thanks for the congrats on the weight loss folks (and :j:j:j to your 2lbs as well LT!), um course not happening today (even though getting a lift from another member and everything!), I have no voice (stop cheering at the back there
), all shivery and feel totally carp , not only would I get nothing much out of it BUT I am scared of infecting others (oh and Dr Dragon has it as well - looks as though he brought it home from work *sigh*)

Well the pain clinic deals with medical help (tablets/TENS etc) this course deals with Chronic Illness so it is coping mechanisms (deep breathing and such like)Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

oh I see....don't want to take tablets if I can help it as I have a lot of allergies...0

There's a huge amount of research been done on pain clinics using meditation (not Buddhist - just meditation) attached to hospitals, and the results are staggeringly good - it was first done on people who'd gone down other routes for pain relief too - and the issues are really varied - PTSD after Iraq, amputation, chronic illness, all sorts of things. When you're well (and I'm so sorry the lurgy's got you!) deffo try again.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Ah well lurgy kicked off my CFS again , but I did make the course this week (very American caring and sharing which isn't really me
), the weight dipped back below 23 stone again this morning  so provided I don't go beserk at the weekend I could be up for another 2 pound loss on Monday :beer:.
Other news, sticking to the no buying make up etc and currently using up body lotion as hand cream! (the one on the go at the moment is a sample 50ml one from Dove, it makes me itch a bit though so will be glad when this is done), trying a new curry recipe tonight http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1306/easy-peasy-lentil-curry, and The Furry Dragon (tm) will be trying new food as well (sample of James Well Beloved arrived :rotfl:), stitching isn't happening either (see CFS and too over cast!) but I will try and do some tomorrow, however I did get some cleaning done AND I am clearing the sofa which seems to be a total dumping ground at the moment, the other dumping ground is my desk so that will be the next one
:o:o
Hmm if no stitching happens maybe I could get some recipes typed up instead :think:Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup
