how are you doing?
I'm getting ready to start the challenge of quilting up my second pair of curtains (the winter ones), and to recover the two sofa's today. Hope i've not bitten off more than i can chew but it will be much cheaper than buying two new sofas
Well these are only 1mg (the Doctor didn't want to give me anything stronger as I can hardly sprint for the loo on crutches!), but hopefully they will do something, it was a case of so near and yet so far this morning - I tried the scales again and they hovered between OL (overload ) and 21 stone 13.5 lb - I'm sure you can figure out which way it eventually fell
Good luck with the sewing - it does seem a lot but I'm sure you will get it done (if ot today then over the weekend)Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Well done nearly half a stone gone already.
Glad to see you are getting some sewing done.0 -
Well been and had my leg dressed again and hopped on the scales and I am another 1.5 pounds lighter
, now allowing for the fact I was dressed AND it was mid afternoon (so food and drink consumed) I think I am seriously close to getting back below 22 stone!
How did the curtains etc work out Lemon TreeDo not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

well done on the weight loss Dragon, mine's a bit awry at the moment but i'm trying hard.
Curtains are on hold cos they didn't have the double width lining fabric, so will have to wait until next week when i can buy it, i have got the wadding though.
I also have bought the fabric for the two sofa's. I want to get started NOW but i'm realistic that i need to get it washed so if it's gonna shrink it does it before i've put it together. Got to send OH to laundrette as there's 20mts of fabric which won't fit in a normal washer. Trouble is he doesn't get why we need to wash it.0 -
I registered on the home scales!!!!!
22 stone and counting downwards :j, not only that but my Art of Crochet arrived (so teach yourself crochet has commenced) but I am seriously thinking about jacking in my subscription for "Cook Vegetarian" please tell me that one of the dishes of the month being boiled egg and soldiers and another (supposedly seasonal for February) of Szechuan style Ratatouille done by Heather Mills isn't the be all and end all of Veggie cooking *sigh*Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

you're weight loss is going fab, did what the dietician say help? if so then i may have to have a look at the information, i don't seem to be doing well at the moment, but i'm off work next week so hoping for lots of allotmenteering (aka digging) and sewing so i can get the sofa & curtains sorted. I've started cutting out the fabric but haven't tackled the bodies of the sofa's just the cushions so far. things are in a pile at the moment so i hope i can figure out what lengths are for what cushions0

Actually on 2nd reading the dietician's stuff is not that helpful - their kcals do not always agree with the kcals on packets/jars etc, also 1 portion of veggies is 3 heaped tablespoons - how the HECK do you measure cabbage in heaped tablespoons or is that supposed to be a dessert bowlful like salad and have they seen the size of dessert bowls these days :rotfl:
Matchboxes for cheese measurement -all well and good if you have an England's Glory matchbox in the house - we don't we have household matches and I really don't think that is the size of a piece of cheese they meant
On crochet I have now mastered the single chain stitch - this afternoon/tomorrow/weekend is learn the next bits and make the square :j Good luck with your sewing next week Lemon Tree (and I am guessing no chance of a meet up if you are that busy?)Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup
