“Official Company Representative
I am an official company representative of E.ON. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"0 -
That doesn't look as if they are in the U.K..
Or it could be that the spell checker automatically changes centre for center, because it's American like mine has just done, and I've had to change it back manually (and something I forgot to do on my post above)."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -
Thanks Helena,
I've never switched before so you've been a great help! Now I just have to try and win over the boss (Fiancee :P)0 -

and you appeared to be struggling with Eon Customer Service (MSE reps, especially Helena excepted) only 3 months ago:

(It appears they were refusing to allow you to go move to a new tariff which you wanted as it fixed your prices for longer, because they said it would cost a little more in the short term i.e. for the 3-4 months the then existing tariff you were on would continue to apply for)0 -
Before I joined them I read stories of E.on advisors being sacked for cutting off customers
Quote
Britain’s energy company E.ON has sacked call !centre workers for !being rude.
Power provider E.ON gave staff their marching orders after discovering customers were being cut off while explaining their problems. An investigation also revealed many were left on hold too long and others were not dealt with politely enough.
About 20 E.ON staff at the firm’s main Bolton office say they were ordered into a manager’s office and dismissed for gross misconduct.
There are believed to have been more sackings at other E.ON offices.
The dismissals followed an internal review of working practices at the gas and electricity supplier’s call centres, including Nottingham and Newry in Northern Ireland, which employ about 6,000 staff.

That was back in 2013. I joined them earlier this year and found them excellent in every respect. I am pleased I ignored all the negative comments and went by my own instincts.0 -
I was a happy customer of Eon for years until I succumbed to the lure of cheaper gas and electricity from the Coop.
Now I am returning to Eon because of the Coop website and customer service fiasco of the Coop.
Also the collective switch to Eon is cheaper than the Coop.over 73 but not over the hill.0 -

Sort of right, they didnt want me to change as the new tariff was more expensive then the old tariff and they wanted me to be on the best deal. They wanted me to know that it was more expensive before the change over.
But really should'nt you not take get out now and again you would have a much better life instead of been on here.
The 1st link you added was in the end due to SP not sending the reads over even tho they promised they did. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Not sure I understand that, but anyway, back to E.On's customer service.
I recently had to deal with their "bereavement team" on behalf of an elderly relative, and have to say they were helpful, sympathetic and understanding. They did however give me some dud information, and it took a further number of calls to their customer service people to straighten things out. Eventually it got sorted to our satisfaction. So, while there is room for improvement, at least you can talk to people and they do note what has been said - and it is fairly easy to nominate another person to manage the account...I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards.
