Im sure you have had many good responses and I think your approch in many situations would be spot on.

The point I was trying to make is that the person you would go to would sureley depend on what you want and since the OP hasnt said what they actually want then not sure if anyone can really offer any advice on where to go with it hence I beleive a lot of the replies regarding recording calls, sending recorded letters, writing to MP and the Prime Minister to be just hot air (as will the PM if the letter doesnt actually ask for something tangiable hat te PM can give).

The issue seems to be that the OP and their familys time has been wasted here which unless tere is any benefit to the OP would just be compunded by many of the actions suggested.
