PIP not showing for appointment

Hello,
My mum has applied for PIP she is disabled and doesn't like being going out much espeically to new places so it was arraged that she had someone visit her. They were meant to visit at 9.00 this morning so my dad had the morning off work (he is a self-emplyed driving instructor so time off = no money) so he could be with her as she is anxious around new people.
Anyway they didn't show. Mum phoned the PIP helpline who told her to phone back Monday because they don't have any more appoitnments and they can't contact the person that is meant to be coming out to her!!
Mum had about 3 letters all saying to make sure she is in on the 02.09.2015 at 9.00AM as they would be coming over and not to go out as the appointment mustn't be missed and now this happens!!
I'm quite angry and mum is upset about it, had this happened to anyone else and does anyone know what to do? The people you speak to at the PIP place arn't always the nicest or helpful!!

Call back again and ask to speak to a supervisor.0
-
*write* and complain
Enclose a copy of the original letter stating the appointment and the importance of being there.
A letter is harder to ignore than a phone call.
Ask for an explanation of the failure to show, and the lack of any notice being given, ask them what steps they will be taking to address the issue and also to insure that there is no delay to her claim as a result of their failure to attend the appointment.
Keep a copy of the letter. All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0 -
Thank you, I'll try the supervisor thing although with most companies that never seems to work.
Think the letter is a good route to go down so will try writing to them. I think it is so bad how they treat people, espeically vunerable people!!Read my diaryHere0 -

How would you record the call and would I have to make them aware the call was being recorded?Read my diaryHere0
