Not as far as I know but then I wasn't given a lot of information about a lot of things. I only really know a lot of info through asking my local midwife to find out later on. It was only really then that I knew how serious everything was as the hospital just kept saying a lot of "just as a precaution", "Not anything to worry about". My midwife was a lot more blunt (and scary!!)0

JUst updated my totals, im now sub 28k, ive just had to make an extra payment to take me under. I should be able to make another overpayment before the end of the month.
Chocaholic, it really does seem you had a horendous time with toms birth. they really should be honest about these things even though its sometimes hard to hear. imagin if you didnt know what really happned and were still planning on having a nother child, you would at least want to go into it knowing the risks.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -
Well done on the sub 28K!!
I would have liked another baby to be honest but OH says he couldn't go through another week like the week of Tom's birth. The community midwife agreed with him, casually saying "You could have died this time, who knows what would happen next time". Now there's honest and there's honest!! Apparently you can book an appointment to talk about your birth if you have unanswered questions. My Mam thinks I should do that but I think now, maybe just leave it in the past. After all, we're both fine.0 -
It might still be worth going to talk to them about the birth. If you know exactly what happened it can help to plan for the furure. You never know your husband might have changed his mind in a year or 2. You never know the midwife might have just made a flippant comment. it could be that knowing what happened this time would mean your doctor could do something to prevent the same thing happening, like planning a slightly earlier c-section.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0

Sorry for being MIA for a while, ive been really sick the last week and havnt felt up to much. Thanks so much for the book panda, ill have to make a start on reading it. On the positive side i havne been out at all and so have spent no money. should be able to make a good overpayment if i carry on like this.
Im really glad i took the loans out now to cover the credit cards, i can see a real difference in the paynments with the reduced intrest rates, and the absolute latest my debts will be gone will be jan 2012. I know its longer than i wanted but i think i can improve on this. I will be taking 9 months of meternity and i have checked that the first 6 months i will more than be able to make the payments, and will just about have enough for the last 3 months. My OH will be taking care of the rest so i can meet all the payments on time. He has also transfered some money to me to buy things for the baby when i am ready so i dont have that to worry about. He is even still putting money away for the deposit for our house when we decide to buy. I really am so lucky to have him. he is brilliant with all the money stuff!DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -
Hi Lunar,
Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well. Is it morning sickness? Hopefully it will settle soon....
Good news about your money plans - well done for keeping on top of it and planning. Its great that your other half is so supportive.
I have to say i've not been great lately, but will hopefully get back on the wagon soon!
Are you off work at the moment with not feeling well?
Speak soon,
