Congratulations on the job, and your start on the DFW trail Lunar. You're certainly sounding more positive now. Morrisons do do value brands and most of their value label stuff is quite good. I always spend less there now than I used to at Tesco.

I had a real bonus today, my OH called at 4ish and said to get ready as we were going out, His boss took us out for a meal with some other people from work!! so not a penny spent today.

He is planning on inviting them all over soon though, which will mean i will have to try be creative in the kitchen, maybe a bigger challenge than everything else. I even managed to eat quite healthy food in the restaurant so im very proud of myself.

feel free to ignore me as im having a rant!!!

I got a call just now from someone at work wanting to swap shifts with me, normally i dont think twice about it and will always help out. This time however the person wants to work my weekend for me to work the beginning of the week. Of course i would love to have the weekend off, but it is 28 hrs pay at time and a half.

I said i would have to think about it and let her know. She started going on about how she couldnt work in the week because she needed to be there when her kids go back to school. She said i would understand if i had kids and was so lucky to be free!

People at work know i had fertility treatment and know i would do anything to be in their position. after three misscariges my marriage ended as it just tore us apart. I swap anything and everything for people, i never get it in return because there children need their parents to be PA's. i never complain, and i never show how hurt i am that i cant have that life right now.

I caved in at her moaning because of course i want her to be able to be there for her children, i just wish people wouldnt tell me im lucky to be in this position, it feels like a slap in the face. so now i wont have the extra money i would have got.

Sorry for ranting, i just needed to get it off my chest, thanks for your patience if you are still reading

You are quite right to have a rant. I would have explained that normally it would not be a problem, but that you had counted on having the extra money for working the weekend. I'm sure she wouldn't give up weekend work for your benefit. Warm hugs to you, ((((Lunar))))

I know i should have said that, im so private about money matters though. The only person who knows about my debt is my OH. I was so scared to tell him, i thought he would loose interest. Lots of my debt is from fertility treatment, i thought he would run a mile!

I must say that next time, its £160 loss because i wouldnt face the reality of my situation. I obviously still have a long way to go.
