Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician.... :/
  • Not much on the PP list this month, going away for two weeks in the middle and I tend to take new things as I can never gauge how much I'll use ...

    Garnier 7 Day Moisturiser
    Nivea In Shower Moisturiser
M&S Lemon and Fig Hand Cream
    John Frieda Brunette Shampoo
    C&E Pomegranate Hand Cream
    Dove Straightening Serum

Tried the new Garnier Ultimate Blends Nourishing Repairer shampoo, that I was sent to review.
I gave it four stars but that's only because I can't give it three and a half; as every maths tutor will tell you 'five and above rounds up, four and below rounds down'.
    Review here.

Hi Babafette, yes I have started using it. It's got a light texture and sinks in quick but still sees quite moisturising. I haven't tried relative to other richer creams to see how my hands feel after a couple of hours and check which leaves them softer so am not sure yet whether it's going to be a repurchase.

I am quite fond of things with aromatherapy oils in as I love the scent and this isn't really scented - although my boyfriend does pull some faces at the smell of some of my handcreams so maybe I should have a neutral one to use when he is around!!

I've got a couple of other Dr Organic things to try, though not from the snail range. I have heard some good things from other people and I know Holland and Barratt do good offers from time to time so I might use for other things in the future.

My PP list for the month:

    - A Clinique double powder that is refusing to die :P (these really are great value for money, virtually everlasting)
    - A face mask (any face mask! I just want to get rid of at least one…)
    - Burts bees foot cream
    - 2 Dove body lotions (both part empty)
    - Estee Lauder mascara
    - Clinique primer
    - 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner (I’ve a few open, so any one of each :) )
    - Body shop Vitamin C serum

I must remember to pamper my feet tonight, they’ve got a bit dry as I’ve been lazy – and I’ve a ski boot fitting on Saturday, so they will be getting inspected very closely, eeek!

Hello again... how are we in September already?!

Thanks Babafette for starting us off.

I went to Prague over the weekend and used up a few testers and stolen hotel shampoo. But nothing to really comment on as it was all foreign things that I had bought earlier in the summer when I run out of things when away.

I have purchased Barry M clear nail polish as I don't have a clear and that stops me painting my nails. So I really see it as a necessary purchase to be able to UU other products... or at least that's what I'm telling myself.

I have a spluttery (it's been like this since July) Benefit BB cream which I'm hoping will run out before the end of the month. Then I just have 2/3 of a tube of their foundation and two testers to get through and I'll be foundation/bb cream free and can buy something nice and new.

I need to do a new stock take I think as I haven't really been paying attention to how many products I've got through/added. I know I have said this a few times now but I shall be doing it this evening. The house is clean and tidy and the OH is in college until 9 so I have plenty of time to myself.

    Have a good day everyone!

  • 1) Molton Brown white sandalwood shower gel
    2) Balance me radiance face mask
    3) Aromatherapy Associates moisturising face mask
    4) Dr Organic snail gel serum

    5)terra green body moisturiser
    6) bioderma cleanser
    7)frizz control hair serum
    8) amie morning moisturiser
    9) creightons bronze ambition bronzer
    10)Ole henrikson 3 in 1 cleanser
    11) olay 30 second wrinkle filler
    12) Origins starting over age erasing moisturiser

Three more off the list! I would buy the balance me mask and the snail gel serum again, was really impressed by the serum, especially as I had not expected to like it and was slightly put off by the smell to start with. I can't afford my own aromtherapy associates products - would be happy to get this in a box or as a gift though.
I went through my long list earlier, it's about 180 products long. I'd like to get down to around 150 before the end of the year, which might be possible with a little application (bad pun!). My weakness comes around November when the beauty advent calendars come out, so that's 24 ins for december before we even get to christmas presents, which sometimes include bath and body stuff. So I think I need to aim for 150, or less by mid Nov. I've still got a beauty box I haven't opened because I want to get past a few things happening in real life that I'm not looking forward to, so I can open it as a reward.
