  • I can't believe it is september already.

Last month was a great month for outs. I ended up selling, swapping, and giving away loads. My 2 drawer dresser is now half empty :):)

i have set up a few swaps already too, but my goal by Christmas is to destash everything and as a treat, I'm going to treat myself to a Christian Louboutin lipstick. That will give me a lot of motivation. It feels great to do this...hope everyone's September is a success.

    UU's:
Becca shimmering skin perfector - I liked it at first, but I found that with time it became very thick
Lush Twilight shower gel - this is my favourite shower gel from them, but they don't sell it anymore except for in a gift set.

    Got a uu to report.

TBS mango body butter 50ml. Wnba. I am so disappointed. :-( I love tbs mango shower gel so obviously I really expected I would love this. I've never disliked a body shop product before. Unfortunately all this smelled of to me was a nasty plastic scent, not even anything remotely mango-y. Just plastic. Yuck. I don't know if I got a dodgy tub or what?! As it gets really good reviews. I've got a 200ml tub of this and I don't want to open it now in case it smells as bad! I so wanted to love it, I'm gutted. Ended up using it fast by slathering it on my feet. I guess if I dislike the big tub I will re purpose it as foot cream. I won't buy again if the big tub is as bad. I'm praying it just has gone off or I got a dodgy batch. I didn't like the texture either. Normally body shop butters are nice and thick but this wasn't that thick, and it was oily and didn't sink in that fast. So sadly I'd say the boots extracts mango was superior to this and the extracts one is far from a favourite of mine but better than this was! :-(

Replaced with a 200ml tub of tbs jolly orange body butter, which thankfully has the nice thick texture.

Forgot to say uu the amplex caring roll on too. WBA this does ok job.

Nope no date it it's not that old and has the newer packaging, I've used a satsuma one recently in the old style packaging and that was fine. I bought it off eBay and it wasn't used or anything, but never mind :-( If I'd of bought it I store I'd of taken it back. :-( i do have a cold but none of my other products smell any different so I don't think it's that either. I'll try the big tub and if that's as bad it'll be the scent I don't get on with, as the big tub is even newer. just seems a bit weird to me that all it smells of is plastic yet so many people seem to love it. :-/

Red has Organic Glam mascara, InStyle has Body Lotions from Neal's Yard. Just posted on freebies forum by the way. InStyle offer might be WHS only.

Hi I saw you posted over there about harpers bazaar leighton denny freebies. Do you know what colours they are. My supermodel needs replacing.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Wonder if you got an eBay fake then? I've never had a dodgy TBS body butter from their store.

UUed the 30ml bottle of L'Occitane Almond oil. Must decant some into a 100ml bottle next although have opened a tube of Gok Wan rose oil shower gel.

Not impressed by the Nails Inc gel lacquer. Have gifted it to Emma. In turn she has treated me to a bottle of Essie With the band which I love. Very similar to OPI off with her red which was limited edition.

  • I'm in again, I went off track completely in August - not buying anything but not really using anything either. I must have a sort out on recount my stash. Yesterday I TA an opi nail varnish that just didn't seem to set not matter how it was applied - disappointing for a "good" brand.

I repainted my nails last night with Essie Chinchilly and subsequently have two uu's

Essie Grow Stronger Base Coat - WBA but have lots of other base coats to use first. There is a bit of this in the bottom but no amount of tipping and jigging will get enough on the brush.

Sally Hansen Mega Shine Top Coat - this did a pretty good job but I WNBA only because you can't see into the bottle at all and to get the last bit out you need to see where the polish is.

had a good couple of days

    Yesterday
UU#1 Simple Moisturiser - I've had this on the go all year, though it wasn't used at all last month (using the Garnier freebie) and didn't use on very sunny days when I was going to be outdoors for several hours (used one with SPF). Always thought it expensive (this was a gift), but given how it's lasted I would maybe buy again - though I prefer with SPF as I spend so much more time outside these days. Replaced with an M&S one (no SPF) which was also a gift.

UU#2 Cotton Wool pleat. Prefer cotton pads, but replaced with another pleat (which will probably last me at least the rest of this year!)

    Today
UU#3 Garnier Fructis Strength & Shine Shampoo. WNBA. Have others I prefer. Replacing with a part used Superdrug frequent use shampoo.

UU#4 Pantene Pro-V Nourishing Conditioner. WNBA. Have others I prefer. Replacing with a Tesco frequent use conditioner.
