Not quite MS in the short term but having new UPVC frenchdoors replacing the old very draughty wooden ones. THerefore won't need fleecelined curtains anymore. Now the massive sewn together fleeces will be massive fleecy blankets on the settee. And I can get some nice IKEA lined curtains to go back up!!!There are times when parenthood seems nothing but feeding the mouth that bites you Peter De VriesDebt free by 40 (27/11/2016)0

I have also started to sort out the log pile and stack the bigger logs that need chopping to the front.
Bought a new slow cooker from Tesco to replace broken one.
Stocked up on half price Allinsons bread flour from Tesco.
Still need to line kitchen curtains and put up some thicker ones on small windows in kitchen.NSK Zombie # SFD 7/15 Food Bank £0/£5

well folks just seen the BBC Farming Weather forecast for the week and they are forecasting temperatures to drop to 2degrees by the end of the week ground frosts everywhere  so I really need to stop faffing about. I will get the thicker duvets pulled out and aired ready to use again, I will also get the door curtains washed and put back up - still not keen on putting the heating on yet so will also buy new slippers and look out fleece blankets to use when watching the tv etc,Every days a School day!0

That looks lovely and snuggly! I have been trying to knit a blanket however it will maybe be finished in about 12 months time. I am a very slow knitter and I keep losing count lol!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

Thanks,Well I woudn't have done it if I had to do it by hand. It still took about 8 hours to knit and 8 hours to sew, as I did the sewing up by hand, wishing for an overlocker whilst I was doing it.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

That looks extremely cosy. My aunt gave me a knitting machine once but I couldn't get the hang of it. The knitting seemed to spring off it at odd moments.
DH has been laminating the living room floor, with a layer of foil-type insulation beneath and some green boards on top of that before the planks go down. Trying not to mention that I don't want him to take too much off the bottom of the doors as he's doing it.0 -
I need to do something with my doors as the drafts from the sides are terrible.
I have tried that sticky tape on a roll but it gets jammed as I open and close the door cos the gap is where the door edge is and not the side where the hinges are.
Last year I bought some of that tape in a thicker size and when I put it into the gaps in the windows it seemed to make it worse.
Don't know if it was too thick because I could hardly shut the windows and the draft came from the hinged side of the window.

You know when you get one of those de-cluttering fits and you throw out nearly everything in your frenzy, well I got rid of two beautiful knitted blankets, one of them was absolutely gorgeous, patchwork but with lots of different patterns in the squares too. It makes me miserable to think about it so I wont! That one on the sofa looked lovely.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01
