  • Hi,

I love this thread :) although im not as organised as everyone on here, i did buy some lovely fleece PJ's from Primarni for just under 6 pound, really comfy so will get another pair as i live in PJ's most of the winter :(..(straight from work into them)....will ask hubby to time the CH so its on for an hour before i get up in the morning, so 5am. Theres nothing worse than shivering while you get washed and dressed lol......our last place had skirting board heating that was tepid when it was full blast!! had it checked out and all so we spent the winter in literally our outdoor coats in the house :(.....

Can i buy blackout material in Dunelm? is this expensive?

I have just puchased two throws for the livingroom sofas to be folded up and used when required - £2 each in primark. Bought a huge faux fur one too for the bedroom (same colours) for £3!

Just got v excited to learn that Lidl are doing their hotties from next Monday (7th sept) - if they're the same as before, they have a nice wide opening so I don't get boiling water all over the place! £2.99 well spent if so!!!

You do realise you can get decent 'hotties' with a fairly wide neck for a lot less and if you watch what you are doing you won't get water everywhere!:D
  • Thanks for that info re hotties, was just wondering how much they were, and where i could get them.

I got my windup torch/radio combo from here

    http://www.ogormans.co.uk/windup.htm

The second one down is identical to mine but it was only half the price when i bought it, brilliant little thing and i wouldn`t be without it. I got a lead from the pound shop and an adaptor from ebay so that i can mains charge it too if i`m not having the pc on and can`t be bothered to wind it up :D

Had a mad splurge yesterday (Very unlike me but mattresses had given up on me!) and went to Ikea and bought DS a new bed and mattress and DH and me a new mattress plus loads of candles - they are so cheap in there. Also bought some fleeces and a lovely quilt for my bed (I sleep downstairs because of my clapped out knees so I need extra warmth)
The mattresses are well worth it so comfy and as an added bonus they are designed to keep you warm and they really do! I had a lovely snuggly night.
They were a bargain at £79 each (lot cheaper and better than any I have had before) so well happy.
Only trouble is having to get out of lovely comfy snuggly bed on cold mornings:eek:

Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
