    I hear ya sister.

Do they still make those silly mittens that have a string attached from one to the other, that you thread through coat sleeves... lift one arm, mitten threaded in sleeve of other arm disappears upward to somewhere near your elbow.

Don't know if they SELL them but I make them for the grandchildren who are always losing just one glove if not attached!

I've just ordered a couple of sets of plain white flannelette sheets on ebay. Flat top sheet, fitted bottom sheet and 2 pillowcases. They were £9.95 king size, £8.95 double size. For 2 king size sets with the postage it came to £26.85.

The bed is the only warm place in this house in winter...I set the elec blanket to "fry" for 4 hours before I get in :)

I ordered a double set from them last night. Also ordered a couple of blankets with tassels on. The blankets look quite big and were under a fiver each. So hopefully they'll do for under the duvets : )
  • On the quest for snuggly flanelette sheets there is also Linens Ltd - http://www.linenslimited.co.uk/flannelette-fitted-sheet-single-cream-p-2429.html
7.95 for a single fitted sheet but everything has free delivery so might work out cheaper if you're only doing a small shop.

    hello, i'm new btw!
  • popped into town and picked some up at the Tonys textiles shop

also got a couple of duvet covers for my youngests bedroom all for less than £20 (2 complete bed sets)

  • Superb online discoveries on the flannelette sheets, ladies. Anyone found one which sells flannelette (or jersey material) duvet covers please?
