Should this not be in the Household Forum?
Posting in MRF suggests the OP might have a disturbing and overly familiar relationship with their pillows! :eek:0 -
John Lewis do a £25 feather pillow which is my choice. I have one of their zipped quilted pillow covers on it and I couldn't sleep on anything else now. I buy one every now and again and am slowly replacing all the pillows in the house."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0

Different pillows if you sleep on your side or on your back? I sleep on my side, my back, my other side, my front (occasionally) - I certainly don't stay in one position :rotfl:
Marley has two extra-thick foam pillows. I have two feather pillows. So whatever you decide to get pillow-wise, don't presume that your OH will want to match!:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

Sorry to drag this up again, but I'm so cross and had to rant! After recently getting a new pillow a few months back, I thought I'd finally found one I was happy with, but in the last few weeks it has started to go lumpy! I'm so sick of pillows doing this - surely they should last longer than a few months - especially when it cost £15?! Arrggh, pillows are so frustrating!0

Get rid of your frustration, get a mate round and give the pillow a good busting,.

I loathe feather pillows.. OH's mum got new ones and it was like trying to sleep on a pillow cover filled with crisp packets!! seriously annoying. I usually take my own pillows but didn't that time.
I have M&S washable pillows.. got as a groupon 8 pillows £25 and they are great.. keep their bounce for ages.. when mine get a bit limp I pull out a new one and give OH my old ones.. he kills them in no time but likes them dead.
The idea with pillows is to keep your spine as straight as possible so that is supposedly what you aim for.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

The one I finally got came with a 90 day money back guarantee from Asda. I agree with you, it should last longer. Are you able to take it back?
I also agree, pillows are very frustrating.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
I got it in BHS but I'm not sure if the receipt's still around. I might write to them anyway to let them know that they're rubbish!0

I think a pillow is a really personal thing. Sorry I may cry at some point !
I've got an expensice memory foam one which is like a house brick, at some point it might soften and let me nestle in for support but it's not looking likely anytime soon !
I got a neck pillow, ridiculous. Works for a cadaver but not me.
I bought some foam hypo allergenic that turned into a lumpy hell in a couple of weeks. Like sleeping on a kids gym bag.
I mostly now just spend time moving pillows off the bed and being miserable.
I think in the end it's not the pillows it's me and how I sleep.
Miserable isn't it .......0
