Heck dont talk to me about pillows! I wouldnt like to add up the amount of money we have spent on pillows over the last year or so. One pillow is too flat, two pillows are too high. Pillows starting off ok within a short space of time go flat blah blah blah....
However, your going to laugh at this cause i find it funny myself.
Hubbys pillow has a quilted pillow cover over it and two pillow cases.
My pillow has 2 quilted pillow covers on and 5 pillow cases. They are the perfect height/softness for both of us now. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
No wonder it's so hard to find a comfy pillow!. . .I did not speak out
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me..

itsanne and Judi, I'm see I'm not the only one who struggles to find a good pillow then! People can't believe the number of pillows I've gone through over the last few years!0

I have a pocket spring one, it's very supportive. I'll definitely replace it with the same when the time comes.0

I am a feather pillow girl, but I have been staying in a hotel this weekend and slept on a foam pillow( which I've always hated) and had a very good nights sleep. The make was "Christy" which I presume is the same make as the towels which I really like.
They are not the square pillow, just the regular shape.Treat other's how you like to be treated.

Wow! I thought I'd get replies along the lines of 'fgs it's a pillow how hard can it be'.
I'm pleased, but also sympathetic to you all, to know I'm not alone.
After another night where I've woke up worse than when I went to bed, I'm going off today to buy myself a pillow. I think I need medium, defo not foam due to the temperature some people talk about, not feather due to allergies, and I'm going to go to bed shops to lie on them........Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
I have neck and shoulder problems. I bought a moulded neck one from IKEA out of desperation. It didnt feel particularly comfortable the first night, but when I lifted my head up, a whole bunch of cracks and pops in my neck and shoulder made my head fizz. I very carefully lifted myself up again and, whilst not fixed, I've never had pain again like I did before that night.
It's still on the bed, but there are a mass of other pillows to choose from at any time. In honesty, what we both probably need/want is a body pillow, as we usually end up waking up in a tangled nest of covers and pillows, curled around each other. Or two large dog beds.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
My son bought a memory form pillow that has a cool zone. Claimed it was the best ever. OH then tried it and also said the same. Both had suffered from neck and shoulder aches and my son in particular used to moan about pillows getting too hot.

I use wool pillows from the Wool Room. I will admit they are not cheap but they do have the advantage that you can add more wool or take some out depending on your preferences. The cases are washable too.
D
I was just about to post the same. I found it quite difficult to find cruelty-free feather pillows, then I came across wool. They're great and really comfy0
