I can't find anywhere appropriate to start a new thread.

So I'm starting a mini challenge on this thread.
I intend to try and save £350 a month.
I sorted out the lounge the other day and storage and I have so much stuff I need to get rid of! :eek: so I need to photograph and sell as much stuff as possible.

Targets for September:
Spend a maximum of £200 for groceries, pet food and cleaning stuff. fail, spent over £280
10 no spend days lost track.
Make at least £250 getting rid of unwanted/no longer needed stuff fail not even £200
Eat out of the freezer/store cupboards for at least a week. pass, we managed this one
Clear some clutter pass, I had a really good sort out and got rid of loads of stuff, still loads of stuff to sort though.
Sort out DVDs and CDs-again. sorted, just need to get rid of them
Keep a diary of all my spends. fail, stopped early on in. month.
I'm not waiting for September to make a start, I started today.
[on a positive note, I did manage to pay the huge unexpected bill.
I have been somewhat sidetracked this month. Unexpected 'events and occurrences'

Well...after a turbulent few days I need to re-evaluate...everything.

Due to recent revelations my focus is more on savings than paying mortgage off.
