I can't find anywhere appropriate to start a new thread. :(
So I'm starting a mini challenge on this thread. :)
I intend to try and save £350 a month.
I sorted out the lounge the other day and storage and I have so much stuff I need to get rid of! so I need to photograph and sell as much stuff as possible.
I did manage a small sale yesterday. £3

    Targets for September:
Spend a maximum of £200 for groceries, pet food and cleaning stuff. fail, spent over £280
10 no spend days lost track. :(
Make at least £250 getting rid of unwanted/no longer needed stuff fail not even £200
Eat out of the freezer/store cupboards for at least a week. pass, we managed this one
Clear some clutter pass, I had a really good sort out and got rid of loads of stuff, still loads of stuff to sort though.
Sort out DVDs and CDs-again. sorted, just need to get rid of them
Keep a diary of all my spends. fail, stopped early on in. month.
I'm not waiting for September to make a start, I started today.

[on a positive note, I did manage to pay the huge unexpected bill.
I have been somewhat sidetracked this month. Unexpected 'events and occurrences'

Need to set targets for next month and must try harder.

Hope all goes well TC. Feel free to start a new diary on MFW if you want to. Lot's of us don't fit the criteria and the forum police haven't thrown us off yet ;).
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

    Well...after a turbulent few days I need to re-evaluate...everything. :(
Due to recent revelations my focus is more on savings than paying mortgage off.
Maybe time for another thread ...

I also have so much [STRIKE]stuff[/STRIKE], oh, I mean treasures, that I need to get rid of too. I kept going round and round, then thought If I create a room of doom (or garage), put everything I don't want or need in there I can just work my way through that, when I find the time, all other rooms will be as I want them :j Perfect.
