Gigervamp, there's nothing like a good holiday to sort you out. I took 4 after I'd finished my breast cancer treatment. We did Amsterdam, Germany, Austria, & Italy, all by coach, & had some real bargains. We never really went anywhere before, but now I'm hungry for new experiences. Have a great time & a lovely birthday x

    Cancer is a horrible thing.

I'm 3 and a half years clear from stage 2b Hodgkin's Lymphoma myself so I know the chemo battle well.

While I was waiting for one of my chemo sessions I was speaking to a lovely lady who it turned out had a terminal diagnosis. A very sobering conversation I can tell you. Put my 'curable' cancer into perspective.

Many hugs to any that are going through the struggle with cancer.

We are off to visit MIL today, we visit as often as possible, never know when it will be the last visit.
We also have a 4 year old in the family battling leukemia & a question mark over another family member who is awaiting a diagnosis.
I went for a mammogram during the summer & it came back clear.
One day at a time is all any of us can do.

    Sending support to everyone here.

My husband was diagnosed with stage 3c tesricular Cancer in May. His type is very rare and usually affects younger men, he is 52!!

Had four courses of strong chemo and is now waiting till 25th sept for a SCsn to see if tumours are dead and rhen surgery to remove anythung left

We took the decision to cut ourselves off as much as possible as this csncer is very aggressive and if he had caught any infection chemo could have been delayed. It meant he has only seen our new grandaughter once in three months (she is six months now) although we skyped and I saw her during his chemo weeks, He woild be in for one week and on a drip continuously then off, for, two

    It's a horrible horrible. Disease

  • Hi everyone

I just wanted to say a quick hello and join this fantastic thread. I was diagnosed with Bowel cancer 2 months ago which has also spread into my liver. These are extremely scary times but they are trying to cure it so i remain positive. Im currently into my chemo and have completed 2 of the initial 6. I then get 5 weeks of radio, then 2 operations, then 6 more chemo sessions. Its a long and difficult road and if anyone wants a friend to talk to I'm here.

    Good luck everyone X
