in Credit cards
apologies if this is in the wrong section, I have an MBNA credit card and a Fluid credit card(also MBNA), both these cards are on 0%. For the past few months I have had a statement showing interest being charged, I have called the companies to challenge the interest and it has been amended back to 0%. So I have been paying just over the minimum required only this month I have had a statement from Fluid informing me of a non payment so I have been charged interest and a default sum of £12. I have checked my bank statement and it shows 2 payments to mbna on the same day, on speaking to the bank they say they cant tell me which accounts these were paid to as it was a debit card payment but according to the statement MBNA have had 2 payments. MBNA confirm they received a payment and Fluid hasn't but my bank statement shows 2 payments gone.
Any thoughts?

hi, These payments were by debit card via the credit card website, but the bank tells me because it was by debit card they can only say to who it was paid to and not which account.0

I would raise a debit card dispute with your bank and keep fluid informed of each step along the way.
I would also make a minimum payment to fluid and ask them nicely to waive the late payment fee while you do some investigations. This is a genuine error at some point of the transaction. Also set up a DD for at least the minimum payment, you can always top it up. This will mean the onus is on each CC to come and get the payment rather than you to send.

I think it's almost certain that you paid MBNA twice instead of making one payment to MBNA and one to Fluid.
I appreciate that Fluid is owned by MBNA, but I think that's a red herring.0
