Midland Bank will not be returning to our high streets after all ?

You have to admit that was a very catchy little slogan
Well, it's certainly stuck in the mind!......I liked the griffin too...but I don't remember the purple sofa.....:)0 -
I expect the existing first direct set up will be scrapped. Customers will be "moved" over to the main bank (HSBC) after the name change, the current First Direct will cease to exist, perhaps (hopefully) they will save the staff and merge them into other operations. Not sure if they are based at the same place, sure they have a separate team.

I sincerely hope not. I suspect they will lose a large number of customers if they do.0 -
I am really curious to see which brand they choose, I was sure it was going to be Midlands. Seemed like a simple choice.
Martins bank is another one but this is not "owned" by HSBC but I think Lloyds or Barclays.
If they do choose first direct, I cannot see how the current first direct set up can stay the same. They are ruthless in their money saving.0 -
From 2020 onwards, there will only be one bank called Jeremys. :rotfl:0

I did my school work experience with Forward Trust when I was about 15... keying the interest free loans for large name sofa retailers.43580

Catchy
Wonder how much they paid someone to come up with that :whistle:0 -
Sounds horrible to me.
Should of just dropped a letter from HSBC.
HSB or SBC.
Or HSBC Midland, or HS Midland,
HSBC UK, yuk.
Hopefully someone will buy and rebrand it again.0 -

It just sounds like a cost saving stunt to me save them having to rebrand / change the logo.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0
