The Labour Party is now the party of the Liberal London elites who care only about neo-liberal economic policies and making themselves rich.
Hey Posh, do you know what Neo-Liberal means? here is a clue,
Privatization, austerity, deregulation, free trade etc. In one phrase
Laissez- faire i.e govt keep you nose out. Does that really sound like Jezza and his mates :-)'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -

How does a tax burden of 34% vs GDP sound? Pretty leftie to me but that's where our conservative government is heading for this year.

More often the term is used as a pejorative. It is best said with a sneer. :-)
It is a synonym for capitalism, globalism, elite rule and ruling-class privilege.
JC does seem to be signing up for mass migration (gloabalisation) - he does also seem to be part of a ruling elite that seems out of touch with real people. So some might see as signing up for Neoliberalism - in truth there is little agreement about what the term means.0 -
If that's the case and I've not read the research it makes a mockery of the contention that Labour under Corbyn is full of extreme Trotskyists. Can't have it both ways!.... and at least Labour is not made up of an even more limited demographic like the tories are!
Yes it must be great to be a member of a labour party full of rich people pretending to be virtuous and caring whilst making themselves as filthy rich as possible.

In that case this thread is nothing more than one set of privileged ruling class elites complaining about another set of privileged ruling class elites.

Fwiw the last couple of polls have shown Labour and Cons neck and neck. Labour seem to be losing ground. Latest one was the guardian.Turn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you.0

From 1997 to 2010 Labour managed to wreck Britain. Spent too much money, didn't control the banks, started a war in Iraq, encouraged mass migration that means no one can afford a house.
JC = more of the same.
Thanks.
I know i should dig deep and forgive but it's hard , especially as tony, alistair and gordon must spend all day every day wondering what to do with their millionsTurn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you.0 -
