Andy Burnham: Labour Ignores Northern Brexit Voters At Its PerilLabour risks losing touch with northern Brexit voters if the party fails to crackdown on freedom of movement, Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham has warned.
In an exclusive interview with HuffPost UK, the former Health Secretary sounded the alarm over the Labour’s new stance on Brexit, which leaves the door open to permanent single market (SM) membership.
Burnham denies he lobbied Corbyn over the move and said it risks an angry backlash from northern leave voters, who may feel ignored if immigration policy continues unchanged.

War, do you really think Tories would not have done the same as Labour.
Housing crisis Torres have had 7 years housing crisis worse.
Immigration who knows .
One thing that would have happened under Tories would have been NHS would have been in ruins.0 -

Until the country can come to a conclusion on what is expected from the NHS, for some it will always be in ruins.
Unfortunately we live in a country where if anyone dares meddle they are told "hands off our NHS" and if they ignore it they are then told "why aren't you fixing our NHS", largely it seems by the same people.
I doubt the Tories are truely trying to dismantle the NHS, why not? because they have had decades to do it if that was their intent.0 -
The Tories will never dismantle the NHS, it's just as good a pork-barrel for them as it is for Labour.0

The NHS was in a bad state when Labour came to power and it improved considerably under Labour, it's now slipping back.
Lots of things improved considerably under Labour, fantastic right.....Well until we checked the receipt!
I have to chuckle that so many people on the Money saving expert forums seem to struggle with the concept of affordability, debt and balancing the books.0 -

http://www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2016/03/13/the-conservatives-have-been-the-biggest-borrowers-over-the-last-70-years/ I think people who believe what the tories tell them about such things as balancing the books, affordability, debt etc need to realise that such issues are highly political and based on choices. Besides there is a world of difference between personal finance and the economy of a country!0 -

I think going back 70 years is a bit ridiculous, and hardly relevant to the state of affairs of our society, when you factor in Globalisation, WW2 and how culture/technology etc has progressed, an interesting study, but hardly relevent in real terms.
The actual point scrolling back up was about the NHS thriving under Labour, until it came time to check the credit cards. How is that any different than the guy on minimum wage buying a flash car then going bankrupt, its simply not sustainable, and builds unrealistic expectations.
And Labour are at it again, no party can compete with "here is free money students" whatever fully costed rubbish they kept spouting, and when the bubble eventualy bursts and someone has to clean up the mess of course they are going to look like the problem.0
