Thanks for being open about the reality of these arrangements.
I do appreciate that there are risks to this method of trading but when I hear those who have these tax advantages by choice implying they are hard done by I find it rather disingenuous.
Yes there are risks and time spent doing accounts, tax returns, vat returns etc.
No sick pay, costs and sacrifices e.g. living away from home etc.
I would say there needs to be some incentive/premium for that.
We couldn't pay our costs (about £28k per annum for bolt hole/travel/bills in London) unless there was some kind of financial advantage/incentive.
I think that's required if you want your economy to have an economically mobile element to your economy.
But yes I agree - not hard done by.0 -
How can you be both?
Easily. You have no idea what you think, and change your mind three times a day, but meanwhile you annihilate your rivals if they oppose your view of this minute. Then five minutes later you change your mind again.
May destroyed Osborne but has no discernible differences with him policy wise.
She campaigned in 2015 on a platform of no NI rises for the self-employed, welshed on it in 2017 then told Hammond to welsh on the welshing no matter the cost to his credibility.
Ruthless, but indecisive.0 -
Labour - don't see this as a victory. With a different candidate you coould have won this election.0

if Labour would have rallied around its leader, Labour would have won0

Strange times indeed. I got Corbyn wrong. I thought he was toxic for us but I always thought Labour as a party could come back due to our system.0 -

I still think that Corbyn is by some distance NOT the best candidate for the Labour party, but thank god that he was their leader, otherwise we might have ended up with a Labour Gov. Although it has to be said that Corbyn would have been a significant factor in May's decision to call this election. If she survives, she really needs to surround herself with better advisers, she gambled and lost the Tory majority, which is bad, but it could have been worse, it wasn't worth the risk, when making any decision, you have to think 'what could go wrong'.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

You could have won this with a different leader. People clearly want change.
Just a different change than they wanted 12 months ago. Go figure.0 -
Anyway, personally I'm glad that we are not getting government against the few for the many - no good could come from that.
Governement's should govern in the interests of the 100%.
I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth Corbyn you fool (even if you were - private prep school !!!!!!?)0 -

The days when you needed to be a chimney sweep to be in charge of the labour party have long gone (if they ever really existed).
If Labour can't govern in the interests of the 100% because Corbyn wasn't born in a coal hole then what makes you think the Tories can? Presumably they didn't go the local comp like you and I either.
Your ideas about the British class system are probably a couple of decades out of date.0 -

Even back in 1983 I struggle to recall the right being so dominant.
