:rotfl::rotfl:The Left does what it always does and starts eating its own - factional infighting - Judea's People Front or People's Front of JudeaMomentum loses momentum as members condemn founder

The group is facing an uprising of activists who think its leadership has copied Tony Blair’s tactics. The pro-Labour group Momentum, which was founded to provide a permanent campaign group to support the aims of party leader Jeremy Corbyn, is split following accusations that some leading members are involved in “Blairite” tactics to stop the organisation being democratically accountable.
At the same time, the Momentum leadership is understood to be concerned that small hard-left groups could take over the organisation and is moving to limit this by giving a vote at the group’s conference to all members.
A group called Labour Party Marxists has issued a statement attacking co-founder Jon Lansman for allegedly attempting to fix the result of a key meeting.
The group said his actions were “worse than anything Tony Blair managed to foist on the Labour Party”, before asking: “How could we ever again gripe about the bowdlerising of Labour Party conference democracy if we acquiesce to the travesty that Jon Lansman and his cohorts at attempting to finagle us into?”
“Momentum’s claims to represent some sort of clean ‘new kind of politics’ is starting to look very grimy indeed,” the group added. “In truth, these methods borrow heavily from Stalinism and the repressive bureaucratism of rightwing Labourism.”

Jeremy Corbyn’s so-called celebrity cheerleader Paul Mason has joined Momentum as the group is engaged in a civil war.
The former BBC and Channel 4 News journalist said that one of the main reasons he was joining the group was “because Momentum itself is at a crossroads”.
Mason is backing the Momentum leadership as it seeks to introduce a controversial new structure that would see all of the group’s 20,000 members vote on strategic decisions.
The voting reform is backed by figures including the group’s chair Jon Lansman. But it has been opposed by some senior members who have accused the leadership of attempting to thwart democracy through “Blairite” manoeuvres.

Should make for more fun.
I love Paul Mason - when he's trying to defend JC's proposal to spend £500 billion on "pet projects" he seemed to think if he chucked in the word "Keynes" every now and again that this some how made him look knowledgeable....0 -
How Momentum entered the crisis zone
Momentum was the engine of Jeremy Corbyn’s victory. Now a civil war is tearing it apart.

Labour Vote Sinks in Council By-ElectionsLabour’s share of the vote fell in all three council by-elections yesterday as the Tories held on to wards or made gains.
The Lib Dems increased their support in towns in Hertfordshire, Leicestershire and south-west England as Labour followed slipped back again following a net loss in last week’s polls.
Labour saw their vote decline in council wards in Welwyn Hatfield, Harborough and Bath and North East Somerset on a night when the Tories held two seats and gained one from the Greens.Labour lost a ward in Greenwich, London, where they were edged out by the Tories, but held its seats in Wandsworth, London, and North Hertfordshire.0 -
The left can have a relationship with Islamists, or it can have a relationship with the broad working class, in all its shapes, sizes, beliefs and colours. It cannot have a long-term relationship with both, because their values and aspirations clash. The working class does not want or understand segregation, or restrictions on freedom of speech to avoid ‘offence’. It will not accept or excuse jihadi violence. It is bewildered by a Labour party which now contains people who, on social media, venerate Hitler or the transportation of Jews. It has nothing in common with the Muslim Brotherhood, no matter how good it is at buying up sections of our intelligentsia.
To the existential crisis of the British left, we must add one more component: the threat to its very existence brought about by engagement with, and passive acceptance of, Islamism.

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -

The obsession with minorities, and labelling people into social, ethnic or religious groups. They can't help but label people.
Is anyone on the left able to defend things like this:
I mean, what the fudge? Really...? Just look at it.
There's so many things wrong with the left right now. I hope islamisation isn't one of them.0
