Jeremy has pulled up the drawbridge and is ready for the siege.

Can hardly believe what I am reading in the papers today. Its like a coordinated campaign of propaganda, mostly originating from inside the PLP.

Difficult to know what you mean by 'propaganda'.
The PLP are being totally open and honest : the great majority want him gone.

Christ, it's always some kind of conspiracy that is used to keep the socialists in their place isn't it.

Could it possibly just be the case that the majority of sensible voters / businesses / media / politicians / general public can see what a complete shambles the hard left contingent is making of the Labour Party?

Thanks to Jeremy there are approaching one 800,000 members and supporters of the Labour Party, proudly wearing the red rosette.

How many supporters do you have?

    Who is wearing your rosette?

I think they have been shown to be very flat footed actually. Because Jeremy refuses to play by the Westminster rules, won't backstab his colleagues, sticks to his principles, and isn't often seen braying like a donkey and mocking people on the benches, they aren't too keen on him.

Just because there are 800,000 members it doesn't mean that they all support Corbyn and it's not the size of party membership that wins elections.

Ah, yes, the "Eat at Joe's, thousands of flies can't be wrong!" argument.

A lot of people have had lots of supporters in the past, and people have proudly wore their symbols of power, but this hasn't tended to correlate well with them being great leaders.

Whew, I'm glad I got through that argument without mentioning the Nazis!
I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.

    lol

I am one of those 'corbyn supporters' voting to keep him place to kill the labour party

assuming I am the only one doing that (which I am not) and that all of the remaining 799,999 of those members back Corbyn (they don't) that is a whopping 1.2% of the UK population

    viva la revolution
Left is never right but I always am.

Quick reality check for obsessed followers of the Dear Leader.

You have a number approaching 800k members? Wey hey! Excellent. Good for you.

Elections are not won or lost depending on the size of party membership..... you see, Arklight, convincing the folk who you think already agree with you is not the measure of success... Labour's problem will be convincing those who voted for UKIP, moderate Conservatives, LibDems voters (there were some), right wing Labour supporters and even members of the SNP to vote for what will be seen as a left wing Labour Party.

You DO realise that Labour are 99 seats BEHIND the Conservatives at the moment? Just checking.........

You might very well see comrades like the SWP and the other left wing 'brothers and sisters' turn out, but how many right wing or centrist Labour supporters will move to the LibDems, even the Conservatives - or just as problematic for Corbyn, stay at home? Some of the inevitably deselected 'troublemaker' MPs will stand as independents, splitting the Labour vote.

Moderate Conservatives MIGHT be convinced to vote for a right wing or centrist Labour Party, just about. Corbyn will need them to vote for a left wing one.

Both Labour and the Conservatives hold 6 seats with majorities of less than 500. Which party is more likely to hold these seats that have slim majorities - a probably united Conservative Party, or, at best, a disunited Labour Party or probably more likely a riven one?

Corbyn seems to think that if only he can unite the Party behind him, and deal with the 'disloyal', the country will obediently fall into line and vote for a left wing Labour government.

    Well, it could happen......... :rotfl:
