Jeremy is absolutely smashing it in his leadership campaign launch today.

The Owen chap is already a busted flush.

I should think we will see 70% plus for Corbyn if not more. Then the MPs will have to get behind him and the battle for the next election can begin in earnest.

    Exciting times!

    Reality Check.

Com Res Poll 4 days ago.

    • Asked which of the two leaders would make the better prime minister, 58% chose Mrs May compared to less than a fifth (19%) for Mr Corbyn
    • By 40% to 36%, Labour voters in the 2015 general election believe Ms May would be the better prime minister
    • Mrs May also held big leads over the Labour leader on who was a strong leader (42% gap), who was good on the world stage (37% gap), and competence (31%).
    • Mr Corbyn also narrowly trailed leadership rivals Owen Smith and Angela Eagle on who was more likely to win a general election.
    • A separate ICM poll for the Sun on Sunday gives the Conservatives a 10% lead over Labour on voting intentions
So if all those Labour Voters vote Tory in those amounts then most of the LP MPs you seem to hate so much will lose their seat in 2020.

A more pleasant type of politics
Jeremy Corbyn warns all MPs could face reselection as he insists 'Labour is stronger' since he became leader

Yougov poll out yesterday also gives the Tories an 11 point lead (40-29).

Obviously a lot of the pro-Corbyn wing of Labour will just blame this on disloyal MPs, but the polling numbers for Labour have been dismal for a while given that we are into the midterm blues for the Tories and they had a rather brutal Brexit campaign themselves with a huge amount of infighting, Labour should have been easily 10 points up , instead it was neck and neck leading up to the referendum.

The next general election is going to be VERY ugly for Labour.

It would seem that the traditional Labour Voter didn't like Cameron but they do like May (funny because they liked Thatcher too).....
Old Labour voters like Trident. Old Labour wants to control immigration. Old Labour is anti-debt, anti-slackers, anti-people-in-power-who've-never-had-a-proper-job.
Sounds like Theresa May is right up their street?

I think we all know that the dear leader will be re-elected with a landslide.
The young pretender has absolutely no chance but thanks for trying.

So the begs the question, how long before the lib dems re-acquire all those seats they lost last year?

    Name the lib dem leader ... 3 ... 2 ... 1 ... sorry too slow.

I'd tell you but phht can't recall myself!

I bet half their MPs would struggle.

Jeremy has pulled up the drawbridge and is ready for the siege.

Can hardly believe what I am reading in the papers today. Its like a coordinated campaign of propaganda, mostly originating from inside the PLP.
