Hello Southern-Girl :) I have 'spoken' to Hypno a few times via f/b, she is now a Mrs again :T and a very happy one at that, particularly as her beloved footie team got promoted too :D I know what you mean about people we haven't met, ds and I went to a pre-season game at Yeovil and I wondered if Smartmart would be watching his team there.

Get your fitbit back on!! Someone at the gym asked me about it the other day an although I think they are over-priced for what they are, I am sure it has played its part in me losing weight this year.

Hey Pixie :) Which day do you go back? I'm back on tuesdsay, ds on thursday. I could do with a few more days/ weeks off though :D

Hi benben, used to read your other diary so subscribed to this one.

Have never sold on ebay heard too many horror stories, so usually donate to CS's. I have recently sold a loads of dvd's on magpie just waiting for the cheque. Have used them a few times and money going straight to my savings.

I have recently joined a gym (again), this time I have paid for a year upfront as I got a good deal and it will encourage me to go. I also work at a school and go back next week, until then enjoy the rest of your hols.xx

Tuesday here too. My eldest isn't back to college til the 14th and youngest starting sixth form on Thurs next week. My first year since 2001 of not buying any uniform:(
I always start the 6 weeks off full of good intentions, lots of housework jobs planned:p I have had a good rest though! 15 books read so far and sure I've got time for another couple!

Today I'm going into work, I have a new office with all brand new sparkly furniture in it, so I'm going in to unpack all my stuff and set everything up so its ready for next week. Ds is going round to Mums to help her with some bits in the garden, then later we're going to Ikea to get his desk. He is at his Dads this weekend, Mr S is doing some overtime and so I thought I'd get on and paint ds bedroom :D It would have made more sense to do it earlier in the holidays but never mind, I'm sure I'll manage.

One more ebay buyer paid last night (the silly price dress), so I need to post that too.

Time for a quick tidy to get everywhere straight this morning, walk the dog, drink my coffee and get ready fro the day ahead! Have fun :)

Yep, I have a new job, not sure if I mentioned it, I'm not a teaching assistant anymore, now I work alongside the Head of Year and I'm responsible for all the pastoral stuff; attendance, uniform, behaviour, basically anything non-academic that affects the kids :)

  • Congrats on the new job BenBen. Fantastic achievement over the summer. I must get back into matched betting but I have lost my spreadsheet with all my usernames and passwords in!!!

Will be a slow process of finding them all out but will be worth it if your figures are anything to go by.

Enjoy sorting out your new office.

My lot are going into year 11, so GCSE's for them this year  My office is starting to come together, we had to re-arrange lots of stuff and we've unpacked quite a bit but some bits will have to wait until next week.

After that we went to Ikea, the desk was £95 but includes some shelves too, then I spent another £27 on random bits and pieces, but it just has to be done when you go in there doesn't it, and I was good and didn't even look at tealight candles ;)

Once I got home I have stripped ds bedroom completely. His bed is still in there as its a cabin bed and I cant get it out the room, but its moved to the middle of the room. Everything else is out, I've removed a couple of shelves and have hoovered and sugar-soaped the walls and woodwork. There is tonnes of filling needed so I'll do that in the morning and then get cracking :D

Another ebayer has paid tonight so I need to post that in the morning, which leaves just one item not yet paid for. At the moment I'm on 10,600 steps for today, hopefully I'll get over 11,000 but I am getting tired already so may end up vegging on the sofa for the rest of the evening :o

Your new role sounds excellent, must be quite a job I'd imagine with kids that age! My youngest has just done her GCSEs, it was quite a year;) I'm still a lowly TA, going into Year 3 and 4 this year which is lovely for a change. There are no roles like yours in our primary so it's TA or HLTA. I love my job though, just a shame it pays so badly.

Anyway, seeing as I only have 3 days off left I need to pull my finger out and have a good old tidy up/sort out this weekend. Girls are probably off to see their dad tomorrow...he now has a baby:eek: I must try and resist sitting on my backside in the garden with a book;)
